Other information from owner: No news still. She has been featured in the Sleaford Standard this and in the Lost and Found ads in the Lincolnshire Echo and should be an ad in the Newark Advertiser and the Grantham Journal. Do you recommend offering a reward in the ads or not? I have put lots of posters up and sent pictures to kennels and vets. Waiting for news.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins), schools, deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or some who knows Isla. xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Repost - I had a call last night from someone in Cranwell who saw her poster in the Spar shop. The poster has been up since 22nd January but unfortunately I don't think that she had been in before yesterday. She saw Isla in the early hours of Sunday 21st January and tried to catch her by the RAF camp. It was pouring with rain and she wouldn't come to her. She said that Isla passed very close to one of the guards who made no attempt to get her. Isla then ran onto the airfield. This would mean that a sighting in North Rauceby the next day was quite possible as it is the next village the other side of the A17 from the airfield. Unfortunately we have had no recent sightings. She may have continued beyond Rauceby. An ad is going in the Sleaford Target this week and I have offered a reward which I haven't mentioned in the other ads as I was advised by some people against offering a reward but I am so worried about her that I just hope that it may make someone give her up if they have her or may give us some useful information. None of the people that have called me to say that they have seen her appear to have called either the police or the dog warden to report a stray/lost dog which has shocked me. I am very grateful to them for phoning me and letting me know that they have seen her but if they had called the authorities straight away I wonder if we may have had some chance of getting her back. I am still living in hope. We visited Jay Gees last week just in case she was there but she wasn't. The Boston dog warden informed us of a dog that looked like her that had gone in there on the 20th January and was worth looking at but when we got there it had been rehomed. Also may be slightly unlikely if sightings on the 21st are correct. .....message from owner.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Repost - Here's an update from Isla's owner... Update on my missing border Isla. She is in the local newspapers this week. Newark Advertiser, Sleaford Standard, hopefully Sleaford Target, Grantham Journal and Lincolnshire Echo. Had a call from a lady at North Rauceby to say that she saw her in a neighbour's garden on the 21st and tried to call her but she wouldn't come. No other news, I'm afraid."Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
