Thank you for all your kind words, I was so relieved to have him back. I contacted the gentleman again to offer him my sincere thanks for reuniting me with my beloved boy, he was more than happy to have been able to get him back to me. He has a husky voice, from barking I expect, still no idea where he'd been. The opposite direction to where he vanished from is where the gentleman found him. We are wondering if someone had taken him in and then realised that people were looking for him and dumped him on the road, he had no injuries, wasn't covered in soil from digging, no signs of exhaustion. I guess we will never know.

What a relief that he has been found safe and well, no doubt will now be sleeping soundly dreaming about his adventure.

I am so overwhelmed with the help and support I've received over the past two days. He was picked up on the road not far from home by an older gentleman in his car. He saw my mobile number on his collar and rang me to say he'd just found my beloved dog. I could not thank him enough, if I se him again I shall buy him something nice as a thankyou gesture. Once again, thank you to everyone who shared my poster and Facebook statuses. :)

I have taken some posters to Trasi today as she has no access to a printer. So far there is one on the notice board in Okeford Fitzpaine, one in the pub and one in the garage at Shillingstone and Trasi will be putting up more around the local area. If anyone else can poster please do. Maybe vets and Shillingstone Railway Café?

He could have gone off after a deer and gone out of the woods into neighbouring fields. There was a deer there when I went back this morning, same time as I was there with him yesterday. Just hope that he hasn't been shot for being in a livestock field. He could be anywhere by now.Last edited: 2015-04-18 10:15:29 by Trasi

Conygar Coppice is where we were walking. Lots of rabbits in the neighbouring fields, he often chases off after them but returns when I whistle. He's never disappeared like this before.

Been around there again, friends came with me, we split up and headed in different directions, hoping to see or hear him. No luck.

I'm in Shillingstone. It's a big area, was he last seen on top of Okeford Hill or at village level in Okeford Fitzpaine?

Advice given, Little Chap may have gone to ground but can usually be heard barking when hunting, owner has walked the woods several times and not a sound from him. All authorities aware.
