Bid to identify critically injured dog walker
Police in Sheffield are asking for help in identifying a dog-walker who was seriously hurt in an accident.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was walking a husky type dog called Shep when he was was involved in a collision with a Citroen Berlingo van on West Bar Green at about 5pm today (March 24th).

The man had no identification and despite extensive enquiries, officers have been unable to identify him or notify his next of kin or family of the incident. He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical, but stable.

He is white with very short blonde hair and is approximately 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall and of a slim build. He has a number of distinctive tattoos including a bulldog on his upper right arm, a swallow on the lower right arm and two tattoos on his chest; a devil on the right and on the left a skull with a hat on.

The dog is described as a husky type breed with white, black and blue fur. It was not injured and is currently being cared for at a local rescue centre.

Police are asking anyone who recognises the description of the man and his dog, to contact them.
