Oh I am in tears and so relieved this beautiful girl has been found. I hope she is ok after her ordeal and a massive well done and thank you to everyone involved. I adopted an ex breeding Shih Tzu in July who is the image of Sophia, which made this one very close to my heart.
Brilliant result and lots of positive thoughts being sent to Sophia & family xxxxxx

What an incredible effort!!! We had another reported sighting first thing this morning on the same farm that she'd been seen on yesterday. An early start and lots of field walking later Sophia was spotted ambling slowly across a field towards the main road. After a pursuit that involved everyone Sophia gave us the slip but determination paid off as she was located several hours later in a copse. A couple of very brave tackles later and she was caught, a slip lead put on and a crate taken up the field to transport her back to the cars. She is sore from running through the stubble left from the harvesting and looks thin and covered in fuzzy seeds but will be getting checked over by the vet and looked after by her owners who were thrilled to have her safely recovered. Massive well done to everyone that help to bring about this happy reunion!!

In case Trisha is too tired to post tonight....there were sightings today and despite a few of us being there almost immediately we have had no luck. For anyone who can come tomorrow we are hoping to meet up at Laurel Farm at 4pm. This is on the A426 (if heading towards Southam from Dunchurch, you will pass the crossroads for Stockton/Long Itchington and see a speed camera up on your left - turn left immediately before speed camera and follow the track down). Farmer has given permission for us to be on his land where it is stubble, please stay to edges of unharvested crops. My map posted earlier is crude if anyone can improve on this and print off I would much appreciate it! Lots of hares, rabbits and a beautiful fox seen tonight. Sadly no sight of Sophia since around lunchtime.

No sightings again today. A crate containing bedding, an item of Sophia's owner's clothing and some covered food and some water has been left where she was last seen. More posters out tomorrow

Sophia has had a run in with a local farmer today. He spotted her this morning and attempted to catch her. She tried to jump a fence, something we saw her do yesterday, but was unable to and was growling and snapping at the farmer :( He didn't want to get bitten so left her to it but reports that she is emaciated. Further searches for Sophia have been fruitless today so I'm inclined to think that she may well have gone to ground. I was tied up with exam results and securing college placements today but will be back out tomorrow and am hoping for another reported sighting.

Glad you have had a sighting of Spohia
I know Trisha is very experienced and knows the softly softly approach as we do not want to push her out of the area with too many people or noise
If there is somewhere to set up a feeding station with view to a possible trap (which would be discussed properly) that would be good, as she is already a scared little dog, feeding her only enough to sustain her but keeping her hungry, and if necessary just a water bowl at first if it is an area where there are a lot of foxes and badgers.

SIGHTED NOT CAUGHT: Very long story BUT we expected, from what Sophia's owner has told us, that Sophia would be very difficult to get near to and this was indeed the case. Thrilled to have sighted her ourselves, doesn't often happen after a reported sighting, but she looks very sore on her back legs and despite looking tired she was easily able to outrun us. Disappointing outcome but great to know that she's still about and hopefully, now that we've been able to pinpoint her location, we can get her used to our presence and bring her in. Fingers crossed!! Thanks to Jayne for keeping us up to date and HOORAY for POSTERS!!! :)

Still no news?? I keep checking hoping you have her back. Have you tried k9 lost/found west Midlands they may be able to help not sure but I know when I had my rescue girl (ex breeding) also from Wales she wouldn't go by other people especially men she just followed me round or my other dog. Breeding dogs want to be with dogs as that's all they know have you got people with dogs helping you in the area??

Also get her on k9 animal search as their local.
So hope you find her have ex breeding rescue dog myself so know how nervous they are at first. Fingers crossed.
