I'm wondering if this little boy was owned by an elderly person and slipped out the door? I know of an older lady who had to give up owning shelties because of her arthritus making it impossible to groom her dog. The result would have been a heavily matted coat. Might be an idea to put some posters up around the area he was found?Last edited: 2014-06-16 15:20:34 by Shelties Mum - Area Volunteer, Kent

Where is this little lad being looked after at the moment? Is he with the Dog Warden?

Yes I'm keeping tabs on the postings on Misty's page. The breed is very resilient and can live off road kills etc. They just get on with whatever situation they're in. Wonderful breed to live with and oozing character. Fingers crossed for this little man being reunited or rehomed. He deserves a chance.

Yes I agree with you Shelties Mum he does look elderly,I hope his owners are found soon and if not he finds a lovely new home. We are still searching for Misty our little sheltie and hope one day we will be reunited with her. Bob and Rene xx

There's been a few shelties in the past not been reunited. It's almost unheard of for a sheltie to be dumped. Technically he's sable and white and doesn't look young.

My heart jumped when I saw this as just for a second or two I thought it may have been Misty who's been missing for over a year. However, it's not :( Wrong sex and has too much white on him. Oh well .. I hope this little chap finds his owner. If not I am sure that there will be lots of people lining up to give him a home.
