- How very tragic. My thoughts are with the owners. Night, night, sleep tight, and then have fun with George, and Kip who are waiting to play. Find comfort that one day you will see your friend again at the bridge; forever together. RIP+ God blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns for this poor mite. Run free sweetheartx

- Know it's a longshot, but could this be Rosie - 68610. I know she was lost many miles away, but possibly could have been dumped? Do hope owners can be traced, for closure. Run free at the bridge, dear dog, where my four springers will be waiting to play xxxx

- "Hi
On our walk at Ness Glen, Loch Doon East Ayrshire today we found the body of a liver and white Springer Spaniel. Walking downstream in Ness Glen it was on the right hand bank, just at the waters edge and looks as if it has fallen down the bank (rather than been washed up) . The water was too fast flowing for us to attempt to cross to check the collar for a tag. I am happy to meet someone on site to locate it if necessary though.
It is wearing a red collar.
I have searched web pages for missing dogs in the area but can't find any recently listed. As the owner of two springers, I would want to know what happened if i lost my dog so i hoped that you would know if someone locally had lost their dog and this would at least give them some closure. (Dalmellington KA6) we are local but have only recently moved here.
It's a really popular walk so i imagine someone else may have reported it already.
Kind regards
Lucy Filby
