Still checking in to see if anything on this boy. Stranger things have happened, so still hope of his return. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news on Jasper - am still in touch with his owners, who have had various false alarms (Reigate, Chessington - all came to nothing). they've put ad in Surrey Advertiser, but sadly only received nice phone calls of sympathy or false leads that came to nothing. But . . . they are still looking and not giving up and after all this rain we are now busy re-postering where necessary. Big South of England Ploughing Match at Wotton, near Dorking, this Sunday - I'll be there armed with posters as usual. Not giving up yet Jasper . . . . . Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jan / Patsy. Reposter all our local dogs if you see spaces. If its not already on them, write STILL MISSING, as some will remove if they have seen them up for a while. Still hoping for his return. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Replaced soggy 'Jasper' (and Kelly) posters at Esher Common with new ones today. Been a few 'long time missings' coming home recently so.....lots of positive thoughts (and posters)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jan! Spoke to Jasper's owners last night. they too were postering in that direction over the weekend - around St Martha's Church above Newland Corner, White Lane area and also up towards Albury and Albury Heath and Black Heath direction. I was at the Wotton fete yesterday (so was Taffy-reunited RH3!!) and they let me stick up posters all over the place for all lost local dogs, including of course Jasper. Jasper's owners did Downside Village Day fete on Sat. PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Only just caught up with these latest posts. Will probably be out Albury/Shere/Abinger direction today or tomorrow so will be looking hard, have just done some more posters in case I find any gaps ! Saw my sister yesterday, the one that works at Leith Hill Tower, emphasised Jasper and Pip still missing, spread the word and check posters still in place ! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well, nothing really to report - Jasper's owners have postered the White Lane area, spoken to a few people, but nobody has seen Jasper, or a dog like him (turns out the girl onthe horse saw the dog two weeks ago - only saw a poster today! So a bit of long-shot really). But must keep trying. Owners will poster Downside Village Day as you suggest Jan. PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just got in and found a message on my answering machine from Jasper's owners. They have had a phone call today about possible sighting! A girl riding her horse today saw a 'frightened and traumatised looking collie' that she thought looked like Jasper (she's seen the posters). This is at WHITE LANE, which runs between Albury and up towards Newland Corner behind St Martha's Hill at Merrow Downs. Owners are out there now (it's now dark and raining) and are postering cottages near sighting. (Knocking on doors and putting posters through letterboxes). They will call me if they need help, but it may not be Jasper after all as the girl said she thought the dog had a bit of brown on him (Jasper is just black and white, but will of course be looking v. scruffy and muddy after six weeks living rough). SO FINGERS CROSSED . . .! P x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Got soaked to the skin on Bookham common, but Jaspers posters all looking good Patsy, re pinned one that was flapping and put new poster up at Headley this morning. Noticed 'Fun Day' Bank Holiday Monday on the Green at Downside. In view of the weather (and suspect goings on) may be good idea for owners to smother the area in posters just before that event.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just been speaking to Jasper's owners on the telephone informing them that we are all still postering for him in Surrey Hills and Ashtead/Epsom areas whilst out postering for other missing dogs. Owners are still looking and postering daily. Posters are still going missing in the East Horsley area (behind Great Ridings Wood on Effingham common, where Jasper first went missing). Also, several dog-walking residents have told owners that they had heard he had been found! This could be significant. (?). Owners are plannning advertisements in local papers saying 'contrary to local rumours, this dog is STILL MISSING!! . . . . .' Local dog-warden is aware and also local police. Jaspers owners, I know you look in now and then so hope this is of help. Have you been to the local post office delivery centre? Take a load of the leaflets you had printed and see if they will circulate them. At the very least ask if each postie will carry a picture of Jasper, they get to know the dogs on their rounds, even out of the way properties have post delivered (dirt track access roads etc!). I am so sorry I haven't been in a position to call of late, but Patsy keeps me posted on events. Take care and try and remain positive - it must be so hard to do so. You'll have up days and down days, but we are all still thinking of you and dear Jasper. Take care, Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Gave out lots of Jasper posters to local exhibitors and spectators at the Cranleigh show yesterday - many had already seen his posters. Have also had enthusiastic response from mountain bikers who are circulating his details to each other and have also given me other biking sites to email his poster to. Sadly, no sightings of Jasper (or Pip, lurcher lost RH5), but bikers are v. keen to help and have sent nice messages. PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Put Jasper's poster on noticeboard in big Sainsburys by the A3 in Cobham this evening. Also noticed posters missing at Bookham common near Bookham Grange Hotel, so replaced those (could have just been NT wardens tidying up). PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to Jasper's owners this afternoon. They are still keeping busy every day in their search for him - today they were checking with all local vets again, including new one that's opened near Downside village. Posters still going missing, this time by Effingham Junction. Owners going out tonight to replace any missing posters and poster in woods towards A3 at Wisley. Told them that we've been putting up Jasper posters in Leith Hill/Abinger areas whilst out postering for Pip. I've also included Jasper in all emails to mountain bike organisations and put postres in bike shops in Dorking and Westcott. Will take Jasper posters to Cranleigh Show on Sunday. We also discussed putting ads in local papers. PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jaspers owners, please don't give up on him yet. I know you must be feeling such pain at his loss, but try to keep just a little hope that one day he will bounce back. So many of us on Doglost have been in your situation, one of the reasons we want to help others, so we know what you must be going through. We here are all willing him back and searching wherever we may be for others in your situation. Sometimes it takes longer than others to bring them to light, but they do. Message from PatsyB: Have spoken to Jasper's owners this evening and passed on good news about Phoebe (collie x spaniel reunited today GU3 area). They plan to call Phoebe's owner to share any useful information. One particular Horsley poster missing again - Jasper's owners monitoring v. closely. They've also had strange phone calls - no message - on their mobile from another mobile. Could be nothing, but have advised they inform police. (Message for Jan: I've had six Battersea Dogs over the years and used to work opposite the Dogs Home, so am very used to mooching round the kennels . . . . ) Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unless I was able to adopt at least half a dozen dogs (make that ten) I wouldn't dare venture inside Battersea ! I know its unlikely for the microchip to be missed, but the story of Roxs (chipped again) does make you want to double check doesn't it.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Have just read your post Jan. Such a coincidence as yesterday I went to Battersea (London) myself. Jasper already registered with them on the day he went missing, but nevertheless they let me look round new arrivals, strays, vetinary block, oldies and the for sale kennels - no dog fitting Jasper's description. They keep dogs for 7 days before assessing for re-homing, but say that as Jasper is an older dog, he wouldn't be re-homed so quickly - also they went through records and no dog like him has been rehomed in the last month. I left more posters for kennel staff to file and put up in all departments and will keep popping in, just in case someone has missed his microchip (which is pretty unlikely). Jasper's owners also call Battersea regularly, as well as other rescues in S. of England. I'll keep my eyes open for any more 'found' notices in Esher/Oxshott areas. Walking on Esher common this morning, notice on board DOG FOUND July 19th taken to.....(washed out by rain) Some time ago I found two dogs running in the road near there and took them to Esher Police station, phoned to check a few hours later and they had already gone to Battersea. I know Jasper is chipped so its unlikely unless the chip is faulty, have owners checked with Battersea ? 'Cos dogs found in this area appear to go there when you might have expected a nearer rescue. Just given his picture to my nephew in Surrey police as he is going to be in this area for the next few weeks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Have just spoken to Jasper's owners: they had another false alarm this morning - a lorry driver saw a "Found Dog" notice in Peaslake village shop, but turned out to be a collie/lab cross and has been claimed by his owner now. Still . . . . we are continuing with postering blitz. Spent all morning in Bookham village, handing out posters and putting more up. Posters now outside post office, in delicatessen, Rusts supermarket, three different places outside Somerfields, in the saddlers, by the recycling bins, plus lots of bus shelters. Then on to Lower Road area: by the Scout Hut, recreation ground, all paths behind the rec, by the church, groundsmens hut at Manor House School, with gardeners at the Grange Centre, Preston Cross Hotel, Cronin's reclamation yard, livery stables, Lower Road Nursery and all down Water Lane. Spoke to loads of people in the village - many had seen article in this week's paper and/or the posters, and are all promising to spread the word. One lady took a bunch of posters for a children's group she runs in Lower Road to hand out to the parents. Everyone has been so kind and encouraging,. Have also made a start on Sole Farm avenue houses - going back there later tonight. Jasper's owners are concentrating on W. Horsley area tonight where posters have been going missing. Talking to Jasper's owners, we've decided to concentrate more locally the next few days, trying to target as many people as poss., just to get people TALKING about him now he's in the local paper. Someone must know something. JASPER JUST HAS TO BE SOMEWHERE . . . . It's been a month now. Any suggestions? Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Having spoken again to the lady who rang from Shere, it turns out the dog she saw was NOT our Jasper after all, as he had his name on his collar and a bit of brown in his coat (Jasper is black and white - no tan or brown markings at all - and, as mentioned in earlier post, only has owner's details on collar tag). Jasper's owners feeling terribly down this evening as we were all feeling so hopeful last night. Still . . . . must keep on, so tonight we are going door to door in residential areas - Jasper's owners starting on Woodlands Road area of Effingham, I'm doing Sole Farm Avenue area. Let's hope today's v. good article in Leatherhead Advertiser will jog someone's memory. It's been four weeks now. PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also from Patsy: Forgot to add: Jasper's owners checked with Transport Police and no dogs have been found on any railway lines in Surrey over the last month, so that's a relief. Regarding missing posters: posters are still being removed from the Horsley area, even from private gates, so Jasper's owners are keeping a watch on this. Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: We are not so sure now that the dog seen at Shere was Jasper after all - it seems that on the same day another dog, also called Jasper (with his name on his collar-tag) was wandering about by the river where the children play and one of the mothers rang the mobile number on his collar and the owner, a man working nearby in the village, came to collect him. (The Jasper we are looking for does not have his name on the collar - only owner's details). The little girl who gave the above information could not give a reliable description of the dog that was claimed. We have also been told that a collie quite similar in appearance to Jasper is often seen in the village where his owner works as a gardener. So, when they get home, Jasper's owners will check more details with the lady who originally rang them. However, we had a good postering session in Shere - everyone was extremely helpful and interested - gave out loads of posters to dog walkers, riders, families by the pool, put them into shops, both the pubs, offices, the restaurant, swimming pool notice board, playing field. Met v. helpful person called Cath who is involved with dog rescue and takes in dogs if they get lost in the village - she is going to spread the word amongst dog-agility friends in the area and also put posters up in front of her cottage and on her car. I left Jasper's owners to explore the fields behind Shere and to poster Holmbury St Mary village. I postered in bridlepaths up towards Albury and also put through doors of offices at Home Farm (converted farm buildings, now offices/studios on A25). Also put posters in vets at Gomshall and Fetcham . So . . . . we'll decide where to poster next after we hear more from the lady who rang . Do we concentrate on Shere area or carry on with original idea of concentrating on residential areas of Effingham and Bookham? Earlier in the day, I postered LeatherheaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB & me this time: Jasper's owners have just received a phone call from a lady in Shere. She says her son was playing with a dog that she is quite sure is Jasper down by the river near the swimming pool in Shere LAST MONDAY. The dog tried to get in the car with them and she told her son not to let him as he must be someone's pet - she's only just seen our posters and feels terrible that she did not take action sooner. I'm off to meet Jasper's owners in Shere village armed with masses of posters, dog leads, biscuits just in case . . . Although sighting was a week ago, this is a good clue to the direction he is heading. Will keep you informed!!! PATSY. I am on alert in case of a sighting and extra hands. Message from PatsyB: Have emailed you Jayne - Jasper's owners have asked for his poster to be changed to STILL MISSING please, just to keep up the sense of urgency. As soon as poster is amended, we plan to do big print run and target residential roads and housing estates not yet postered before, in case someone has taken him in and is not letting on.Jasper's owners have been busy on the phone to all the smaller rescues in south of England, dog wardens and the police. WPC at Ripley police station has been particularly helpful, which is great. So many people in the area know about Jasper now - someone out there must know something. Let's hope article in local paper this Thursday will help. Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Spoke to Jasper's owners earlier this morning. The replaced posters have not been touched, so nothing to report there. There has, however, been a possible sighting, but does not sound v. reliable. A lady saw Jasper's poster in the Margaret Rose Pet Shop in Fetcham and said she thought she had seen him under the railway bridge, near Bookham Common in Fetcham village. This was on Friday - Jasper's owners went straight there, checked/asked around and no sign of him. They will contact the railway offices on Monday, just in case. In the meantime, I have this morning postered all round that area - Fetcham end of River Lane (note: new travellers just arrived in the car park on Fetcham side of the river at River Lane). Also, posters now at Barracks Farm, Sheepbell Farm, Yehudi Menhiun School and farm by Slyfield House, plus a couple more in Fetcham village. Later, I postered A25 - from Wotton (village hall, behind Wotton Hatch pub - there is a fair there next week , Wolvens Country Store dog and horse feed place, farm entrances to Wotton Estate), then Abinger Farm shop, villlage green notice board, outside blacksmiths, then Gomshall, and Shere Villlages and ended up in Nat. Trust Car Park by Silent Pool - only to find one our Jasper posters already there(Sue/ Jasper's owners?). So, now Tillingbourne Valley main road (A25) pretty well covered, (but where are our RH5 helpers please?). Put up Kelly and Molly posters at Wotton as well. Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from patsyB: Spoke to Jasper's owners last night, who have now been photographed and interviewed by The Leatherhead Advertiser. They are now concentrating on monitoring the posters to see if any more go missing and, if so, when and where. This morning, I was in Printfayre (nice printers/stationery shop in Leatherhead who will run-off colour copies of DogLost posters at special discount for us - and display them in the shop). The manager said that a customer from Effingham area had seen Jasper's poster in the shop and said "oh, that dog's been found I hear", or something like that. Must be those removed posters that make people think he is home - so we must keep up the postering. I'm afraid I cannot do much today as out all day and evening, but can start again tomorrow. Printfayre manager heard you on local radio Jayne - so we know it went out. I had Eagle Radio on all day, so did Sue, and heard nothing. Message From PatsyB: Good - now reward is up on posters ,we can start printing off new ones to put up. Have just been speaking to Head Office of the Woodland Trust, who manage Great Ridings Wood on Effingham Common (where Jasper first went missing). The warden for that wood confirms that he has NOT removed any posters. It is not their policy to do so. They are v. sympathetic to any owners with lost dogs and only ask that we remove posters when any lost dog is found. Jasper's owners have reported posters missing from Great Ridings Wood area on Effingham Common (where he went missing), West Horsley and also on Ranmore Common in main Nat. Trust Car park. What is strange is that where next to Molly and Kelly posters those have remained intact. So, it's as if someone is just targetting Jasper's posters. Could this be a clue? We could be getting close now. All helpers need to be on the look-out now and be ready to re-poster with new REWARD posters. Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Still no news . . . Spoke to Jasper's owners last night on the phone. Their next plan is to target local press. I suggested all local papers (Leatherhead and Dorking Advertiser, Cobham News, Surrey Advertiser, perhaps even national press - Evening Standard/Daily Telegraph?). Jayne, is there any advice could give them on this please. (I'm happy to help if I can at all). Meanwhile, they are still out in the woods looking and looking. . . . . Everyone in the area knows about Jasper. Have put more posters up in local stables. More events to target this weekend: Cherry Fair at Ranmore, Box Hill Fair, Brockham Green Fair, Horse Show at Great Bookham Equestrian Centre (with fun dog show - I'm going!). I'm driving past Battersea Windsor today, so plan to look in and ask around. We must hear something soon. Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Will try to get more posters up at horse places today - ran out of time and posters yesterday. Good idea to chase up the local rescues - I'm driving past Battersea Windsor tomorrow, so will look in and ask. Px thank you sue - love Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jaspers owners have asked me to convey the following information. They are desperately upset that complete strangers could form such an opinion of a situation they do not have the full facts of. Like any owner who's dog has gone missing, they are desperate to find him. He is loved and missed very much. Loved as you would a child (which most of us dog owners do) the owners having none of their own. They are concerned that the wrong opinion of them has been formed on this forum because of a comment made by other dog walkers. The owners are searching for hours day after day and have not given up hope. They also thank everybody for the amount of time put in by helpers postering and pray their boy will show up soon. A few more posters up today for Jasper - as mentioned on previous post, am targetting the horsey community this week. So, posters now up at Bookham Equestrian Centre (tackroom notice board and also at showground entrance - next horse show this weekend), Bridleways Livery Stables near Polesden Lacey (tackroom notice board), Attlees ( saddlers/horse feed place in Dorking). Also some bridlepaths near Polesden Lacey and car parks at Norbury Park (top of Crabtree Lane at Westhumble and Bocketts Farm at Leatherhead. Will do more stables and saddlery places tomorrow. Everyone v. helpful and friendly and interested and lots of lovely stable dogs milling around. Will talk about posters being taken down to Nat. Trust tomorrow - noticed Box Hill Warden had also removed them from Stepping Stones Car Park notice board. Surrey Wildlife Trust Ranger( Norbury Park) however has not removed any. (I've met him and he has a very nice dog!). Must have some news soon . . . . . Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Still no news. Sorry, cannot do much today but plan to print off lots posters tonight and spend time tomorrow visiting livery yards, riding schools, horse feed places, etc in the area and asking them to put posters on notice boards in tack rooms.(Will also give them posters for Kelly and Molly). Have also emailed poster to Bookham Riding Club. Driving round the back of Headley yesterday, I noticed some of our Molly posters had been taken down by Nat.Trust wardens in car parks at the foot of Box Hill. Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good job Jan, you've been busy. Don't think there are many local places left to be done now, pretty much a waiting game again. How much did you buy at all those super events!! Have a great weekend anyhow, Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just back from Ripley, put 'Jasper' right in the middle of the farmers market and spoke to several people. Also posters at entrance to Ripley green car park, near cricket club. Boot sale field and right down by the gates to Wisley golf course. Coming back through Ockham stopped to put one up at the cricket club, very nice people, very interested and concerned. Summer fair and Dog Show there tomorrow and they were quite happy for me to put up posters (so did M. & K as well, also M. & K. at Green car park and boot sale field) Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Could RH5 helpers be involved to help as well now? - KT24 and RH5 dog-walking/ riding country all links up - RH5 is Tillingbourne Valley/up to Surrey Hills areas. Spoke to Jasper's owner this morning and agreed to organise posters on Polesden Lacey NT.staff/volunteers notice boards. Jan - if you are in Ripley, can you poster by big car boot fields? (good for Molly and Kelly too). I can start postering again Saturday evening, as away all day tomorrow.. Another idea: lots going on this weekend (Box Hill Fair, Mickleham fete, horse shows, etc etc). Great to have posters up at these. (When I lost my little dog, Gipsy, it was only through poster displayed at Surrey County Show that I eventually got a lead on what happened). Let's hope for good news this weekend! Jan you have pm. x (I don't mean ladies probs either!) OK, have been driving round Bookham, Effingham, Clandon, Shere and Ranmore. All through the lanes. Postered Newlands Corner car park both ends. Also Ranmore Car Parks, Stonyrock Lane area. Found owner had done a few already. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A thousand apologies for being such a miserable bag ! I don't doubt for a moment that Jaspers owners love him to bits (who wouldn't, and those distinguished grey whiskers......) I hate to think that I have upset them more at such an awful time. I have to remember not everyone mollycoddles their dogs like I do mine. Hope to be out Ripley way tomorrow, will continue to poster and hope that he is home safe very, very soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Trying not to be negative for owners, as they have been able to read the site through a friend. Jasper may well be known for bad recall when the mood takes him, what dog doesn't get stubborn at times, but he is still loved and missed desperately. Isn't that what Doglost is about, not opinionated gossips in the park? Glad you were able to get out and poster Jan, I know you have heaps of probs at home taking its toll on you. I still haven't got out as yet, but will do later. Hope you didn't get too wet helpers and now we should have back up from GU areas. Great effort all round I think, for all our lost ones. All the best, Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: More posters up now between Ranmore and Effingham (Stonyrock Car Park, High Barn Lane area) also at King George V Playing fields and bus stops on the A246 Leatherhead road at Bookham and Effingham. Later on I drove round the lanes in the dark in the wooded areas where he may have last been seen - put up more posters in Long Reach area of W. Horsley, Lollsworth Lane bridlepath and the Drift. Sorry, cannot do any posters today and am out all day tomorrow as well. If anyone else is out postering today, I think we should concentrate on farm tracks/bridlepaths etc south of A246 towards Newlands Corner. One point though: new wording on poster a bit misleading: should read ' . . . . on Ockham road towards A246 L'head to G'ford'. (didn't notice this until putting up last poster). Thank you for nice message Dee. Px Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Have just come back from latest postering session: posters now up long Ockham Road, mainly on bridlepath/footpath entrances, up to main Leatherhead/Guildford road. Also all along main road up to Wix Hill roundabout (by Subaru garage). Have put one up on village notice board in W. Horsley and Sheepleas car park by church. Going back in the Leatherhead direction, corner of Chalk Lane and Green Deene have posters, then all up Crocknorth Lane, postering all the way, ending up at Forestry Commmission plantation called Dick Focks Wood. Could do with some more up this way towards Ranmore, but ran out of posters. so we could try up there next. Spoke to owner - need more posters up in Bookham village and Newlands corner. So, that's the area I shall try to do next (this evening?). Also, will do the Drift Golf Club as Jan suggests. Let's hope we hear something soon . . . . PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also drove around Effingham, Ockham Road, Forest Road, off road round Dirtham Lane area - very nice!!! Back again along Orlestan and A246 Bookham. Put up few more posters where there wasn't any. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry that I left before these new sightings were posted. Did some posters around Ockham, but concentrated around the Horsley area (E. & W.) Also did a paintball place, must have been a different one. Suddenly I had run out of posters. So I am trying to squeeze the last drop of ink out to do some more. Before I heard about this new sighting I was going to suggest that as I didn't see any posters past Eff. jct. , then the cricket club, that would be an area to cover thinking particularly of outside the big school (Howard of E.) also the Drift golf club (I had run out ) perhaps this is somewhere owners could do (may be they have). Message from PatsyB: Jasper's owner just phoned - sighting (Tues. pm) sounds as if it was Jasper. Seen heading south up the Ockham Road towards main Leatherhead/Guildford road A246. If he has crossed this road, he could be anywhere: Sheeplees/Ranmore/Polesden Lacey/Newlands Corner. so that's where we need to start to poster today. Am off later this morning, starting Ockham road and then working south, up towards the main road and over. PX Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jan you may bump into Patsy! She was able to do Downside today, infact I may have driven past her. No didn't do Paintball, didn't know it was there till I drove past. Owner has had a possible sighting in E Horsley, but it was a few days ago. It sounds very much like Jasper and owner is following up the lead. Will let me know if anything comes of it. Pet Ark already done and Newlands Corner. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I will hope to do Cobham area tomorrow, usually park at hundred pound bridge when I walk on Bookham common, haven't heard that side mentioned, also Downside village. I expect someone has done the paintballing place on the way to Effingham but I will if not and any other assorted places that haven't been targeted by P.& S. yet. Sorry to be so slow off the mark this time, all sorts of domestic crisis getting in the way.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What an old sweetheart he looks ! Printed off some posters, not surprisingly I've run out of plastic wallets so will spend the evening struggling with a roll of cling film and sellotape ! Would like to have made a start today but unfortunately (a) husband still quite poorly and (b) whole area appears to be gridlocked due to accident on the M25, re-routed traffic blocking up everywhere ! Hope to be able to get lots done tomorrow...come home soon Jasper.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message from PatsyB: Have spoken to owner who says Jasper went missing at Effingham Common near Orestan Lane. He knows the area well and can find his way home without crossing main roads. and is fit and well, despite his age. He is also well- known by neighbours, who are all helping look out for him. Owner has also spoken to Mole Valley Dog Warden, Common Ranger and workmen working on Bookham Common railway bridge who are all keeping a lookout .
