Tuimmy`s Mummy, and Meru. I think you have said it all, but this is so sad. Goodnight Eric, sleep tight, and have fun with the other "Rainbow babies" RIP+ God blessx. At least animals dont betray you like some humans do. I also wish b reeding of these dogs could be cut down. It defeats me why some individuals let their dogs have puppies, when there are so many dogs, and puppies already looking for a new home: these people dont help the siuation do they? Sorry ladies I understand how upsetting this all is but if you have views about any kennels and their destruction policies please contact the authorities that send the dogs there.

What chance did he have?! wasn't time to find somewhere that wouldn't kill him......

I worry about how much effort these death rescues put into finding owners..... If a dog is stolen it could be anywhere, anywhere at all and we spend half our life checking death rescues for our dog and how many death rescues are there we don't know about.

Thats what has to change the effort made to find an owner as a post on facebook is not enough!!! Some of the dogs now added from the same death rescue are chipped.... You just have to hope they made better enquiries than they did for this poor lad.

Sorry really wound up by the speed this one was registered and killed

Echo your post Paula Griffins Mum. I am a trustee of a rescue centre recently opened and we offered a rescue place to a little staffy called Stan from the bristol area. We had transport etc arranged and when it came to us collecting we were told that he had been PTS.We were devastated as we would have kept him safe until someone claimed him or we rehomed. Its just not good enough and the system is so flawed.Give Stan a cuddle from his friends here Ernie. We did all we could but it wasnt enough to save you.RIP Ernie xxx

So so heart breaking, something HAS to be done, I mentioned on a similar thread/situation of the idea of creating a facebook page in memory of these poor babies who have been so badly let down by the system, a fb page where they will never be forgotten, a memorial page that will sadly grow in size until something IS done, but at least with a page/group like this there will be a record of these horrid failings, maybe this page could be used as evidence to help get something done…

Dogs that have been neglected, abandoned & who find they have run out of time in pounds, names of dogs spring to mind, Millie, Jim, Honey, Wilf & now Ernie…

Nanni Byron as you say this little man was found on the 4th Feb, this is no time at all 15/16 days, it’s nothing, it’s not long enough, makes me so damned angry! & yes digbysmum he looked well cared for…

Is there anyone who could set up such a FB page & be the admin for it? I just don’t have the time at the moment, but it’s on my things to do list, I imagine like most people their to do list is also huge, so I will create this page when I possibly can unless someone beats me to it…

Doesn't it break your heart that a beautiful little dog had to be PTS. When oh when will people be responsible for their animals and these puppy farms etc are closed down. Reiterate Timmy's Mummy comments. RIP little one. X

Totally agree with the comments below. Feel we have failed and that makes me feel terrible but also more determined than ever to work even harder so that this little one hasn't died in vain

Wizzie not just stop BREEDING stop BUYING! All the dogs that I have had are rescues, from the pounds. STOP BUYING DOGS FROM BREEDERS, they are greedy individuals, they breed for MONEY! A dog is a dog, go to the Pound and get one for pennies. Put the breeders out of business. Breeders are now inventing new breeds to tempt people. Don't go there! Because of breeders this little dog will never run through the fields on a warm day, never jump in the river for a little swim, never sit on your knee for a cuddle, he's gone - forever! wibble58 of course he was frightened, he would have been petrified, look at his little sad face, he would have known it was goodbye, thanks to breeders another dog gone to heaven too soon. I am so upset and angry.

Why do they not say that if the dog is not claimed it will be pts? I know we try to cross match dogs, but sometimes there are so many!! We could spend a little more time on the ones that are in greater danger.
I am heartbroken that this poor dog was not given a chance.
