Sadly the found dog was not Kia. Kia's owner said she was a very lovely girl, hopefully she will find her owner very soon.
Kia is still out there somewhere x

Kia's owner has made contact with the finder of the GSD via the Cheshire West website and is now on her way to see the found dog. The 2 dogs are very similar in looks... fingers crossed! x

Just had a phonecall from a lady in Nantwich a dog similar to Kia was seen on dual carrige way this morning at 10am very thin and scared was stopping the traffic a little. Has anyone heard anything in this area please of a GS this morning. The lady has just been told by her mother as she was driving along road and saw dog but could not stop due to traffic and safety xx
Then updated yesterday:
Spoke to a lady this morning while in work, this dog has been sighted again they are trying to get someone out there to try and catch it. Lady went into detail of the dog. This dog was found and with cheshire east council but escaped from them, then haa been caught again but ran off and now in nantwich. The dogs tail goes up its back and twists like a Husky type same with face. There is a picture on cheshire west i think is the same dog from what lady was saying. Im just so confused by it all xx hope this helps.

I got this message on my group this morning thought i should share on the off chance it could be Kia. Possible sighting??

Susan Newton This does look like the dog we saw on Saturday lunchtime outside St Paul's Church.Dog we saw was very scared timid and starving hungry very thin tried to catch it but ran off towards Moor Lane heavy traffic there 2 kids on bikes followed it we drove round for an hour but lost sight of it.Sorry I Couldn't get a pic I was shopping didn't have my phone with me posted as soon as I got home Dog did not have a collar on

I have just seen a dog like this trotting down wigan rd golborne towards dover lock. I pulled alongside it with my hazards on to protect it from traffic and when there was a gap it went into the fields at the side of balmers farm halfway down wigan rd golborne. It didnt appear to be injured. It was just after midnight 29/3/14, As far as i know there are no german shepards reported missing in the wigan area at the moment, and the dog i saw looked more like the one in this advert than the german shepard missing from M22, though it was dark unlit road and i also didnt notice a collar

Sadly the GSD that was spotted near the Tesco station in Widnes was NOT Kia.
Still no news on Kia.....Still no sightings :(
All found GSD's have been followed up but they are not Kia. We need sightings! Owners and friends are still searching daily but no luck as of yet.

Volunteers from my end have mainly focused on the area around the tip today. They left a contact number with the men at the tip and also the 2 butty wagons that are up there. They were searching for around 2 hours, no sightings reported.
Other helpers are still out searching now. No news yet.

URGENT UPDATE!!!!!!!!
From Kia's owner:

Received a text message tonight to say that Kia had been seen at Tesco fuelling station at 10.30am yesterday morning in Widnes.
I can confirm from CCTV footage seen by myself tonight that it is Kia.
Kia has an injury to her back legs, and CCTV footage also shows that she now has a link chain around her neck, she seemed happy, but my concern for her is the injury she has. Kia was last seen heading towards ARMRITE Steel works. I have visited the area tonight but no joy. IF YOU ARE IN THIS AREA PLEASE KEEP A LOOK OUT..Bumping due to sightings. Adele x

Amended email address. Have spoken to KIA's owner. Kia ran from the house scared when a workman left the door open. She was NOT wearing her collar. Kia is a VERY nervous and anxious girl and will be avoiding people. DO NOT try to chase or catch her as she will only run further.
Possible sightings around the Fiddlers ferry area at the end of last week. Kia's owner is out there now searching the area. She has visited Rose Tree farm to make them aware of KIA incase she is spotted again in that area. Emailing advice and info over now that i have the correct email address. x
