With all the worry about this boy getting into the wrong hands, the lady who registered him has pulled out all the stops and collected him from the finder. He was found about 3 weeks ago and was very underweight although has put some back on now.
He is an entire male and is not chipped, apparently a lovely dog with a temperament to match.
Samson, as he is now known, is safe in the hands of German Shepherd Dog Rescue Elite where he will get the medical attention he needs and be very well looked after until he finds his forever home.
Thank you the lady from Leeds who helped him and wish Sampson a happy future life.

Hope all turns out well for this boy, I would hate to get into the wrong hands. Keep us posted please.

I have been in touch with two of our DogLost helpers who are trying to help with this. One has been in touch with the finder to express concerns and give suggestions. I do hope that if his owners cannot be found then the rescue that Enyapie has been in contact with can take him.
I will also make sure Leicester City DW is Ware of the situation.
Enyapie
Hi. Can you tell me if contact has been made with the finder to provide details of the correct route to take in order to find the dog's owner? The dog is still being offered FTGH on Preloved and I am extremely worried. If he has not contacted the Leicester dog warden or at least taken it to a vet to be checked for a micro chip he is breaking the law. Please update me. I have rescue willing to take him too.
Ellie
Thanks woldsway. Please email details to DogLost Admin where they will be treated in complete confidence.

This boy is still FTGH on preloved hope he dosent end up in the wrong hands. I have finders contact details from there if DL wants them x
Ellie
Thank you finder for looking after this dog, please take him off the Preloved advert though to give us time to find his owner.
I am touch with the lady who notified of this boy and she has promised me to find more details from the finder. Two of my local Dog Wardens are already aware.
Hope he finds his owner soon. Last edited: 2013-11-07 12:54:21 by Ellie

I just wish he would take down the "free" ad he has put on preloved pocklington site as he has been advised that a rescue is happy to take the dog. At least he would be safe then♥
ClaireC
Well done that man as this poor lad could have ended up in the wrong hands. Hope he finds a new loving forever home as I'm sure his original owners wouldnt have left him tied up! Good luck x

This dog is being advertised on preloved as free by the finder. Its not been reported tobthe dog warden so its illegal.
please can someone step in and help this poor dog before the dog fight gangs get him.

Well done finder for taking care of him, and keeping him safe:-) Keep us posted.
Jo_yful
Finder wasn't sure of lost/ found policy, he is a dog security officer so is taking care of this dog for now. Have given him advise re: dog warden etc and he is having it checked for a chip tomorrow.Last edited: 2013-11-06 19:38:27 by Jo_yful
