8 years today’s
Copied from SKYES group 😢
“ Hi there to all of Skye’s lovely and loyal supporters and to everyone who believes in her.
We can not believe, this day, 8 years ago, our beautiful Baby Girl, Skye slipped her collar after being spooked and has been living in the Wild since, despite us actively looking for her since that dreadful day and almost trapping her on several occasions.
We will be out again tonight, precious girl, if you see us, be brave and let us see you, just so we know you are ok.
Anyone who has or has had a missing fur baby, you will know of the constant turmoil and heart ache you have to live with, every single day.
A lot would have given up by now but we can’t, we won’t.
We still have Hope - that she will come home, one day. Faith -that God, his Angels and St Francis will keep her safe and Love- to push us to carry on searching .. no matter what the weather.. rain, hail, snow we let her know we are here for her, for when she is ready to come home.
Please keep looking out for Skye, share her poster .. keep her fresh in folks minds…
She is 10 Yrs old now.. she will be getting slower
We will keep you up dated with any news we have.
In the mean time, remember our Beautiful Baby Girl in your prayers.
Stay safe , kiss n hug all of your fur babies often❤️❤️❤️
Love Carol and Luke xxx”
TrudielovesMax!
Happy birthday from me too Skye. Someone somewhere knows where you are. Please keep sharing. All xd.

"Hi there to all of Skye’s supporters, just a quick update because we haven’t been on much recently.
There is nothing really to update you with sadly, due to Lockdown and being in tier 4 prior to that and lockdown before that, we have not been able to travel to Scotland to search for our beautiful baby girl.
There have been no reported sightings but the weather has been bad, with the dark nights and lockdown people haven’t been going out as much.
We can only pray that our Baby Girl has stayed in the area where she was last seen but we won’t know until restrictions are lifted and we can return. We would have been there throughout Feb had lockdown not been in place so as you can imagine, we are totally heartbroken.
We will continue to look for Skye again for as long as it takes, as soon as we are able.
This pandemic had been difficult for everyone especially those who have lost loved ones during this time either from covid or for some other reason but it’s been hard for us not being able to search and not knowing if she is ok and still alive. We have never stopped searching even when faced with threats, abuse and harassment and believe me, we had more than our fair share.. Our tourer was broken into, items were stolen and the van trashed beyond repair but still we carried on.
Hopefully we will be able to continue in the next few months when it is safer for everyone.
Stay safe, look after each other and hug your fur babies .. prayers said for Skye and all the other lost fur babies out there
Love Carol and Luke xxx"Last edited: 2021-02-22 21:41:00 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland

So sorry that Skye has been missing for so long, My heart out to you. I would post a LOST DOG appeal in a National newspaper. And couild you place an article on missing Skye. Ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. Miracles can happen, and have. Fern a black Cocker spaniel was reunited with her family after being missing for SIX YEARS so "KEEP THE FAITH" Paws xd..Last edited: 2019-12-23 08:30:33

I have a 4yr old sable BC. When he was a puppy/young dog his coat looked very similar to Skye's with the "fluffy" sparse black hair on his back. Over these 4 years his coat colouring has changed so much he looks a different dog as, at first glance, his back now looks black. Even the black mark on Skye's tail will have changed in appearance. Good luck with your search for Skye and I hope one day you will have her back home with you again. x 🤞

Skye has been missing for over six years - from Skye's FB page today 22/12/2019:

"Hello to all you lovely people, we hope you are keeping well.
Another month has past and it’s the 22nd again.
Another Christmas without Our baby girl, Christmas just isn’t the same for us any more.
Please come home Skye, we miss you and love you so much, we will NEVER forget you, we will NEVER stop looking for you, we will NEVER lose hope and we will NEVER stop loving you.
Please share and tweet, keep Skye fresh in peoples minds.
Losing a fur baby is heart breaking, especially in the winter when the weather is cold and wet, though we know Skye has safe dry places, bolt holes to hide in and she is such a clever girl,it doesn’t stop us worrying about her.
Christmas is a sad time of year for us, let’s pray Skye makes an appearance to brighten Christmas for so many of us.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas to each and every one you
Love Carol, Luke and Team Skye xxx"

Find Skye admin here this little lady is still missing sadly. Last known sighting was Elrig but no recent signs so please share far and wide in case she's moved on to pastures new nearby. Skye will no doubt be very different to this photo after all this time exposed to the elements so please scan any dogs found at the nearest vets or via a doglost volunteer nearby. 3 years today - crossposted from Skye's FB page x

Good evening to all Skye's supporters, I have to apologise for the delay in writing this post but as you can imagine, it is not an easy task.
This day, 3 years ago, our Beautiful Baby Girl slipped her collar after she became spooked, she went into hiding and we have tried every day since that terrible event to catch Skye and bring her home.
We have amazing supporters, the best admin and ground team , a lot of whom are now very good friends, even though most of us haven't met. Supporters have befriended other supporters and through the love we all have for Skye, friendships have formed and I'm sure will remain for many years.
We have over come any obstacles that have been thrown in our path, we have searched in all weathers, spent 3 winters without electric , fresh water or a toilet, with just a hob to cook on..
Travelled up and down the country almost every week no matter what the weather because we have always known where Skye is and we have never given up trying to bring her back home.
Sadly, not everyone is happy with us going out searching on and around the land which Skye made her temporary home and we have had one problem after the next over the last few months with severe consequences..
We have been quiet of late because there hasn't been anything to report .. We continue to search and leave food out for Skye but we haven't had any sightings for a while now. We haven't found paw prints or fur etc..
It breaks our hearts... We do believe Skye is still alive but feel she may have moved to a safer area.
We are now searching areas where Skye has been previously.
We need you all to share Skye's poster far and wide. We are desperate for a sighting and if she is on the move then she will be seen by someone.
Skye will be completely feral now, but we will never give up on her, never give up hope that we will bring our baby girl home one day..
It has been a difficult year for Luke and I but also for our family, our admins and ground team.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for staying with us and for always being there for us.
We ask now that you share and tweet like crazy, we need as many people as possible to know that Skye is alive and still missing but that she may have moved..
Please pray that God and St Francis keep Skye safe until she is home ..
Carol & Luke xx

Hi Wensmum,
thank you for your post, we have been in contact with Ray but sadly he couldnt help us at that time. I have also looked on the site you shared re a collie on Leigh and sadly not the little one we are trying to get home. Kind regards Clare (Admin for FindSkye on facebook)

Contacts for Ray:
Telephone: 01564 823244

Email: raydedicoat@yahoo.co.uk

There is a sable collie on Leigh stray site, but I'm pretty sure that is not Skye, the blaze is too narrow on that dog, but maybe someone who knows Skye in the flesh should just check? I know it is very unlikely, but...........

Poor Skye I feel so sorry for this poor dog and her owners. She has been missing well over a year now and I know they have lots of helpers but they still have caught her. Surely, there is someone with perhaps more knowledge or know how could help them xx

We are now in the belief that Skye may have relocated to Elrig / Lochhead area of scotland. Please can this be updated. We have had two recent sightings in these area's and we ourselves are looking to move location so we can set up a feed station and co ordinate searches from nearer these area's. Please Check the Find Skye page on facebook for the latest info. Kindest Regards Clare (Admin)

Mathers22, if you go onto the Facebook page "Find Skye" you will see everything that is being done there. The owners have a fantastic team helping them and for the time being it's softly, softly. From Skye's owner...............
We have had a few sightings in different locations over the last couple of days. Some were possible sightings but one was a positive, at 1700 hrs today. We are not giving the exact location because of past problems with hoax calls but we do think she is around Port William Mochrum and Monreith. She seems to be trying to find her way back.
The areas have been rechecked and the caravan park has also been checked so currently we don't know which area she is in but believe she is getting closer..
We again ask if anyone sees Skye to ring me as soon as possible on 07900937878.. Try and get a photo and just watch her. See which way she goes. Luke and I are trying to get back ASAP. I have work commitments at weekend but I'm working on it Carol xx

SKYE IS STILL MISSING - BUT-new sighting again today, Saturday 25th by the railway bridge one mile from Dunragit, there is a school called Drochduil, there are road works here, due to new bypass and plant workers are also there, she may have headed towards Mote Woods, believed to be limping! She appears to be working in a triangle! Last 3 sightings include we had a sighting near 3 lochs, west freugh and now Mote wood.

UPDATE from Skye's owner !!!!! ...........Good afternoon everyone.. Good news.. ( hopefully) the bad weather ruining Skye's bolt hole may have forced Skye to move. We have received a call from a the driver of a milk tankard who wasn't aware of Skye, saw a very dirty/muddy collie whilst travelling through Stoneykirk at 2345 30/12/13. The dog is desc as being very bedraggled, thin and was terrified. Graham stayed in his vehicle, he knew the dog wouldn't go to him or let him catch it. It tried to run up the embankment but it was steep and the dog seemed too tired. Graham stayed behind the dog as it walked along the road, it kept trying to find some where to hide . Graham then turned left to go towards Port Patrick and the dog walked towards the town hall in Lochan.
Irene is en route to meet Graham now with posters. We only have a few left, we are waiting for new ones to be printed. If anyone has any posters and is in a position to put them up in Port Patrick, Lochan and surrounding villages or if you could arrange to meet Irene with some that would be great. The telephone numbers need to be changed though before they are put up.. If anyone is able to print new posters from this page, that would be great, the new numbers are on there.. Maybe some good will come from this terrible weather.. Carol xx

Skye's page is still there- but awful news today from her owner............
Well.. If this weekend hasn't been bad enough .. It has taken hours for me to be able to write this .. Here we go..
The whole area is flooded. You can't get near the shed it is submerged in water... Thankfully we made the decision to move the trap a few days ago otherwise it would be floating down stream by now.. We set the trap higher up so it only has around 2" of water in it.. Skye cannot get to the sight at all and neither can we unless we swim. The sheep in the next field have drowned this is heartbreaking .. Yesterday we still had fresh foot prints.. Team skye are saddened by the loss of the sheep, and are deeply concerned for Skye's safety.. She hates water.. We pray that Skye finds a way to safety and stays there . The floods are predicted to last 2-3 days.. We cannot set the camera or the trap because no one can get there, to Check them.
For now we can only pray for Skye, and the stranded sheep and pray that the rain stops, the land dries out quickly so that Skye doesn't move on:(
Carol xx

SKYE IS STILL MISSING !! There are new possible sightings of Skye in the DG8 area. We need a much larger group to assist with the weekend search. We are appealing for more numbers for Saturday please. Can you message helpfindskye@live.co.uk and let the search party know if you are able to assist. You will then be provided with meeting location and time.
Also there was a poss sighting of Skye walking along the A75 from the direction of Stranraer towards Glenluce, near Glenluce at 1830 on Sun 24/11/13. This has come from someone who knows Skye.. Maybe she hurt her paw whilst out on this occasion and that is why she was seen limping on Monday..

For all updates please go to Skye's Facebook page.

Another sighting of Skye yesterday. The lady who saw the dog she believed to be Skye, said the dog was limping. Skye may also have been in the park today near the doctors surgery heading towards the woodland leading towards the caravan park. This where owners were staying and have been. Heavily scented by owners and Skye's brothers Charlie n Storm and her sister Meg.

UPDATE ON SKYE !!!! She has been seen near Glenluce Antiques Centre based at Dervaird Farm, just off the A75 in Wigtownshire, South-West Scotland. It is not a farm but an antique business. Skye was running on the grass at the side of the A 75. This is showing that Skye has moved on quite a bit now and she was spotted near the A75 dual carriageway around 4.40 pm yesterday afternoon. Police and owner have been out searching all night. Skye was seen in a field near there, but went out of sight again, but it is likely she is still up there. I am going to attach a screenshot of a map of the area where she was seen yesterday. If you are in this area, please call Carol on 07825685957 ASAP if you spot Skye. You can also inform police on 101.

2 confirmed sightings of Skye last Thursday night. One was at a farm and one was in Monreith from where she went missing.

Thanks Lyn. I don't think it will be the Skye as it would have meant her running over 200 miles in 2 days, and the dog at Dyce is a spaniel. Thanks for thinking of Skye though.

I have just seen this notice on Furbar News facebook page. Hi fubar! Can you make fb people aware that there is a brown and white collie wondering about Dyce (glendhome) area by it's self! Incase the owners are looking for it and are worried.

Hope this helps

Sorry to see that SKYE MISSING FOR OVER SEVEN YEARS is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (58807)
