Thanks Helen am glad he is now with WSS as when I looked on the website with the kennels that had him, it never said that he had a viewing pending anymore they had in fact removed it , so I thought oh!!! the lady has decided not to have him, so contacted WSS and told them to try to rescue him from kennels ,WSS said they are ringing kennels as we speak :-)) . Lets hope he finds his forever home now and not a part time one again :-( xxxx

Sorry if I sounded like a nag Helen. We (dog owners) are so pleased a site like this exists and are very grateful for all that the volunteers and administrators do. X having had a wss and about to get another he was just of particular concern. Just wanted to give him a bigl hug!

Carol .. Are you on the wss Facebook group? If so would you be able to post what his story is as far as you know. I know there are a lot of interested parties.

Maybe I'm being a little naïve - but I find it really strange that he's not chipped & he looks so well cared for, 7 days is not long :( - it will be great if he finds a good new home, but such a shame if there are caring owners out there who never get to find out what happened to their boy, i just couldn't imagaine what that must feel like :(

I haven't any control over where this dog goes I only register them on Dog Lost with the hope that the owner is found!
I have spoken to the Dog Warden and passed on your messages...

I know a lot of people who would have him in a heartbeat. Will they not release him to the WSS Rescue so he goes to a home that knows the breed?

I have rung 8 vets in Colchester and none have a reported dog welsh springer lost although they are getting back to me if one does get reported,one vet said a colleague was driving to work on Friday and saw a springer running loose in the old heath area was this dog found there??? this fellow also looks like he has been recently clipped , i have rung dog warden as well but office is closed i will ring again tomorrow, xxx

Thanks Helen, will make sure the WSS FB group knows and spreadds the word especially in that area. Needless to say Welshie Rescue will offer him a space if he needs it but I would be very surprised if there isn't an owner looking for him somewhere.

There are several Welshie breeders in Essex. The poster has been shared by Welshie owners on FB and is on the WSS group page on FB.
scootjockey, we haven't forgotten Tay and his poster is put up on the Group page from time to time by members.

has this dog been cross referenced with the 4 photo-less Welshies listed as LOST? 48140 40697 34556 and 10732? Edited to say these 4 dogs are all BITCHES
