Tilly still missing though we haven't given up hope. We've had a lot of leads but none of the dogs were Tilly. Things have gone very quiet in the last few weeks. Just hoping if she is with someone they take her to a vet and she is scanned. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We received a telephone call this morning reporting a yellow labrador who looked like Tilly about 6 miles from here near a village called Peaslake. The man who rang had been driving a car and had seen the dog in woods on Tuesday night. I have been over there this morning and put up posters but so far no luck. This is the first lead we have had which is at least something.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a handsome girl. I hope she's back soon. One of the Jack Russells that the owners of the kennels I used to take my GSD to had an 'Invisible Fence' box and they are very effective until, like anything electrical, they short. He had been escaping the farm from as soon as he was old enough to leave the litter and turned up many times at the Wood Green Animal Home up the road. They named him Biggsy................. I can't think why!!! Funny thing is that is now my surname.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hope Tilly is home soon. Note about invisible fences. If dogs do manage to get out, they probably won't come back in!!! ChrisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It may be worth a quick walk round the outskirts of the large travellers site in Effingham which is where we found our Springer 2 years ago. After investigation it transpired there were a lot of dogs there who maybe shouldn't have been. We leafleted all the houses around the edge and got a response from one of the locals who had seen our dog. PM me if you need details of where this is, but being local I am sure you know. The little grey box and blue collar are from Invisible Fence. This has successfully kept her from wandering for two years but the wire round the perimiter fence shorted due to animals chewing at it over time. Unfortunately Tilly spotted this before us and made her run. Thank you for your interest.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Runfold-Eddie:
Why has the collar got a "grey box " on it please? Strange.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
