Spotted a Cairn Terrier on the edge of Dobwalls village on 1st Aug, appeared to have mange or possibly a recent surgery . Was walking towards the village on the main road, we couldn't stop due to traffic but have reported to the dog warden.
I have spoken to the lady who saw the dog and she described him/her as dark grey and brown/brindle so could be Murphy. I have asked owner to get in touch with the lady. The owner is not on line and has no transport so is unable to follow up. Is there anyone in this area who could help poster.
Could alerts go out please to new postcodes.

If Murphy is still missing, is the number quoted the owner or DogLost Coordinator? Can they plot time/date of sightings to establish a potential routine please?

I have spoken to the owner who says this dog is still missing. there are posters up & everyone in the area is aware. She walks the area everyday & looks for him. He is microchipped, so hopefully he will be reunited should he be found.

I keep checking to see if there is any further news. Has the owner put a poster up at the Auction centre nearby? Lots of people go there, might be worth it.

Sorry - yes the dog that was found has been claimed but is not Murphy. However there's a grey Cairn at Leigh you might want to have a look at. Dog number 02189

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (51648)
• Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
