Have you made a report to Battersea Cat and Dog home? They cover the area within the M25 but could be out of your area. http://www.battersea.org.uk/help_advice/lost_dogs_cats/lost_dogs_cats_line/lost_report_form.html#tab_1 or you can call them - details on website. I am sharing on twitter just now.

Hope Alfie is made "Too hot to handle"

Sammi, you posted on another page that Alfie was on meds? What is his condition as this is a worry. x

Sammi, also - as per my email, please tell the police. From what you have said, Alfie must have been taken so you need a CRIME number from police and they need to investigate. Not an incident no but a crime no. Unless Alfie can unlock the gate, someone else did. x

Thank you Sammi. This is so sad. So someone had obviously taken him from the garden whilst your mum was being seen to by paramedics. This is truly atrocious. Okay, Sammi you need to get posters up of Alfie all around the area he was taken - it is not too late. Someone may have seen something or know something. You also need to contact the local paper at your mum's. Tell them what you have just told us and that should be enough for a good story. Please do this! This is the best way of getting word out and getting people to keep an eye out for Alfie. If no one knows what has happened they won't know to watch for him. Secondly, if he has been "sold" on, the new owner may realise what a dreadful thing has happened and do the decent thing and give him back. It is now up to you to act on this advice and get your fur baby back. Please believe me, it is possible, but you need to do this now before any more time has lapsed. We also need those posters up pronto. Any helpers in Witham? Please can you help poster for sweet Alfie and anything else you might be able to do? Sammi, also get some flyers to the school children in the area, kids often see things others don't. Let's get Alfie home! x

Emailing owner's addy. Sammi, can I just confirm this was 9th January. The email I have sent to the address given will tell you everything that needs to be checked. It's never impossible to find a dog, so we try everything we can. Let's do our best for Alfie. x

Hi Sammi, well done on posting! Are you able to upload your pic of Alfie? Also can you give us the circumstances surrounding how Alfie went missing? TaLast edited: 2013-04-09 21:23:24 by Angel Sasha (Bella's Angels)

Sorry to see that ALFIE TAKEN DURING 999 CALL is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (51007)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
