- Munster lost and found.
Found Scartaglen Kerry very friendly dog has been straying a long time 0862112850 no microchip found. This is on Facebook. With a picture of a dog looking very much like Jethro.
Microchips can fail and they do get cut out so worth a follow up.

- Hi, my Chihuahua has been stolen from the same area as Jethro, I am putting posters on the same fence posts! Any news? I have some CCTV footage of 3 cars going past my house at the same time that Kizzi was taken. It would be good to pool information. Good luck in your search. x

- Is there any news on Jethro. I had a brief glimpse of a lady walking a fox terrier this morning on Chalk Pit lane in Dorking. She turned into one of the allies as I drove past so it was just a quick look. The dog wasn't wearing a coat.

- POLITE REQUEST from a local home owner....
Dear Jane,
Thank you for your call. Please find attached a photo of the notice attached with packing tape to our white gatepost at the end of Pilgrims Way in Westhumble.
Please could you organise for it to be removed without leaving any marks or removing any paintwork. If the owner of the dog lives in Westhumble then perhaps you could forward my number for them to call and I can explain the best way to attach the poster if they don't live in this parish then they are more than welcome to post on the allocated notice board near the bridge near Boxhill and Westhumble train station.
Many thanks for your help and cooperation.
Regards

- Have reported Jethro missing to Network Rail as Dorking to London line and Dorking to Guildford lines are in the area, although quite a distance from where he went missing. Last edited: 2013-01-29 12:53:34 by Patsy

- Hi Shereen - yes, have just been speaking to Barley, Jethro's owner, who is very grateful and will pass advice email on to her family and friend, Jenny, who is helping in the search. ADMIN: Barley agrees that we have to accept that he may have been stolen and that a reward should be offered. Please add 'Reward offered for his safe return or information' on poster. Also could email alerts be sent out to all areas around M25 (Kent, Sussex, Essex, Herts, as well as Central London) in case stolen. Thank you all helpers and Jayne for your support . . and thank you Shereen. Px

- No luck today, covered Woods west of St.Teresa School, Back of Randmore farm and top part of White Downs. Going to take Ella out again tomorrow to see if she can find her little friend. Barley if you could pop that bit of bedding over that might help Ella hunt for Jethro. Beverley and Neil

- Thank you very much, Nells, for looking. It is so good to know that people who don't know Jethro are so kind. We have spent every day looking all over Ranmore Common, and calling, but so far he has not been spotted, except for the possible sighting reported three days ago by someone near Stoneyrock. We will keep on looking!

- We walked up round Denbies and the woods at the top this afternoon, I'm afraid we didn't see any sign of him. I hope he's home soon.

- Thank you to everyone who has been out looking for Jethro. The woods on Ranmore have been searched every day but they are so extensive it is impossible to look everywhere. Hopefully there will be more walkers etc out now that the snow is thawing, and perhaps he may be sighted again. But please look out wherever you are, as he may have moved further on. He is very much missed and we do hope to find him soon.

- Still busy emailing posters to useful local contacts. Just received nice message from Nina at Stepping Stones pub in West Humble: "Have printed copies off for you - good luck - let us know if any results. Our wishes and hopes are with you. Kind regards. Tina". So, local helpers, please email posters if you cannot get out postering yourself - it all helps in the search . .

- Denise Dff: yes, he is very friendly and will come to strangers.

- Sadly, no news yet. I've just been speaking on the phone to Barley, Jethro's owner. It is Barley's phone number that is on the poster now. She and her family have been busy postering and searching, but no luck so far. Have advised Barley to call Jayne for advice on scenting and also to give Jethro's chip details to DogLost as suggested by CJ on here. The chip company has been informed. Jethro has been off hunting in the woods before, but has always come back to Barley after about 20 mins, He goes go to ground, so could be down a rabbit hole/fox hole. It is very sheltered in the woods and plenty of rabbits so he could be hunting for days . . . . there was a reported sighting on Sunday down by Tanners Hatch, NT youth hostel cottage in the valley south of Polesden Lacey, but we are not convinced it was him - similar dog, but with no coat or collar, a bit like a small Airedale. Snow is melting now around here, so riders and vineyard estate workers will be out and about more which will help in the search. Have advised Barley to poster outside schools, sorting office, doctors surgeries, railway stations - all places where lots of people will see. Also to contact Dorking Advertiser for next week's issue, but hopefully he will be home by then. Last edited: 2013-01-23 10:05:13 by Patsy

- Maybe Jenny can pass on that it would be great if microchip number was quoted? only owners or those with admin access can see this but it is so very important as it then is linked with the Halo microchip scanner

- I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. Glad he's chipped.

- I will pass on to others that I know walk this area too. I can't walk until after dark tonight and dont have a torch etc with me at work, but could help poster Burford bridge/carpark on the way home if that is helpful.

- Have also emailed Polesden Lacey wardens who cover Ranmore as well.

- Jethro is still missing. I've just been speaking to Jenny, a friend of the owner, whose phone number is on the poster. Jethro ran off on a walk in woods above Denbies Vineyard. The walk started from the car parked in Denbies Vineyard car park. Jethro lives in Dorking, but probably does not know his way home as usually walks from the car. He is wearing a brown dog coat and also a collar, so we are worried that he may have got caught up in branches in the woods. So Jenny says could people please look in the woods on each side of the paths if they are out walking up there. He is also tagged and chipped. ADMIN: PLEASE PUT INFO RE TAG, CHIP, COLLAR AND COAT ON POSTER. Jenny and her friends know the area very well and have alerted local stables, cottages, dog warden etc. I've also emailed poster to useful local contacts this morning. Have advised Jenny to poster in Dorking town where lots of people will see poster as well as in the hills where the walkers go. There were lots of people out walking the snow yesterday so our hope is that he has been picked up and maybe taken out of he area. Many people come down from London at the weekends to walk around here. So let's hope someone comes forward with good news soon . . Keep safe little Jethro . . . - Sorry to see that JETHRO is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (47621)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
