- Could any of this have anything to do with BSL?

- Great to hear, and good to know some people care. Can't understand why the police wouldn't of removed the other dog (who was probably also stolen) at the same time as zeus

- I am very pleased to say that, with the help of the wonderful local stray kennels, the Dog Warden is going to contact Zues's owner to try and assist the staffie remaining locked up. Fingers crossed. Thank you to both of them for coming to our cry for help.

- Appaling situation if one dog is being left there, doesn't surprise me the RSPCA not getting involved - but have the police and local dog warden been informed? We contacted our local RSPCA about a young staffie that was being burnt with cigarettes, swung into walls, not fed etc and they didn't want to know; I really don't know what they stand for anymore and who are we supposed to contact when an animal is being abused? I just hope this poor dog is rescued soon xxx

- I cancelled my monthly donation last week when I found out how much was spent on the fox hunt court case, and when a friend of mine contacted them with regard to re-homing a dog she was told they only had 3 available, how come this is the case when all the other rehoming centres are overflowing. Also they kill too many healthy dogs for my liking.Rant over.

- I have made contact with the RSPCA to try and tell them about this story of the other dog being left behind but with out having enough details to give them they say they cant act..what rubbish I told them to look on doglost. Please keep us posted x - 2013-01-15 11:50 Unknown
- emmalouise. I agree. Some months ago myself, and a friend contacted the RSPCA to tell them that someone was giving FOUR WEEK OLD kittens away to someone who suffers from mental health problems; not their fault I know. The RSPCA refused to come out. And the kittens died. I also e.mailed Gavin Grant (Cheif Executive) for the RSPCA, and never had a reply. Animal lovers? Dont think. Hope all goes well for this dog. All xd.

- Am i reading the previous messages right. One dog has been found and the authorities have left one dog is appalling conditions.

- Can anyone from doglost contact the police/rspca about the other dog apparently being left there? appalling if true
though it doesn't suprise me, seems even the rspca don't care too much about animal welfare lately have heard of quite a few cases of reported neglect/abuse being ignored - 2013-01-14 17:35 Unknown

- Like the advice below, if you think Zeus was stolen etc report it to the police and get a Crime Reference Number. Also contact all the local councils in your area. Would yours be Redbridge ? But contact Newham animal wardens as well. Obviously report to Battersea Dogs Home. Get some posters up and leave some in your local shops. Good luck !
