It's a long shot but have you seen dog 64444? not so much white near the nose but dog 64444 could be obscured by mud/dirt, also similar big brown patch on his back and left elbow, 64444 said not chipped but they have been known not to register, here's hoping xLast edited: 2014-02-19 10:52:21 by Paula Griffin's Mum

Hello, Thank you for the heads up, I have just contacted them and it looks as though it belongs to someone in the area, the DogWarden is on their way out to scan for a chip. Thank you again for the heads up it gives me another site to keep checking as I hadn't heard of them, Suze

Suzanne
Hi, thanks for contacting me. I put a message of the other springers page as I contacted the home and council and they weren't very helpful. the council thought the springer had been returned to owner and the home thought as the dog was found on the 21st Jan it had been rehome by now as they only keep them for 7 days. I have asked if one of the DogLost co ordinations could find out whether the dog is still there or not?! They did say that they still had a black and white springer so not sure whether this is it rather than Liver and white. I was trying to get a better picture as its not the best to be ale to tell whether it is Biggsy. Is the photo you have the one from the page DogLost? is it possible to send it to my e-mail? Suzie.b14@btopenworld.com, thanks Suze
Lorn
Hi there a springer has been picked up by stoke on Trent dog warden and looks very much like Biggles. Local council no. 01782 717717 or city dogs home 01782 304130. Let me know if you want me to email pic as cant upload here! Fingers crossed!!

Thinking of Biggles and all lost dogs this Christmas. People are still looking for Biggles and asking about him. We can only keep looking, hoping and praying for his safe return. xxx
Suzanne
Thank you, no unfortunately no news, we are still getting the information out there but we are now concerned that someone has decided to keep him or sold him on to someone. We can only hope that someone will take him to a Vet soon and they will scan his Chip. Hopefully the New Year will bring good news.... xx
LisaMell
Keep checking to see if Biggles is safe. Any news?? thinking of you Suzanne xxxx
Suzanne
Thank you for all of your help Sue

Advertised in this weeks Countryman's Weekly magazine.
Laraine
I have been asking around in Castlemorton, and there is liver and white springer living in Church Rd. He very often gets out and wanders around.
Suzanne
Hi Laraine, that would be gret thank you for all of your help, Suzanne
Laraine
Suzanne - I live in the next village to Castlemorton and walk on the common most days - will keep a look out and ask other walkers and horse riders to do the same, as the weather is supposed to get better there should be more people out and about. The keeper on the Birtsmorton Estate is aware that Biggles is missing.
Suzanne
Hi Margaret, I know I am heart broken, it would have been nice to give you positive news on your return but unfortunately not. Someone from the village did however contact me the other day and said that one of their friends had a sighting of an adult Springer in Castle Morton, happy to approach people but got scared off by another dog. Joes been to the area and postered and I have contacted the Malvern Hills Wardens incase he heads that way, if it was Biggles (this unfortunately we are not sure)..... We are still keeping our fingers crossed that we will get a call to come and pick him up..... xx
Suzanne
Hi Laraine, Thank you for all of your help its really kind of you. Its fantastic the help we are getting to try and find Biggles, fingers crossed that this weather has brought him out of his hiding place and we will get a call.... Thanks again Suze
Laraine
Have circulated Biggles and Busters details to our local beaters, and asked them to watch out for anyone trying to sell Springers. I will be going to Agility at Sambourne on Friday, so will take posters there.
Maggie
Just got back from hols and was so sad to see the posters still up. It's disappointing that there haven't been any sightings locally. I'll pop round tomorrow to see if there is anything else I can do. xx
DogLostDebs2460 - Area Volunteer, Worcs, Warks, West Mids
They have confirmed it's Soudley which is Forest Of Dean Gloucestershire area. The area the springer was in is Wenchford just off the A48 at Blakeney heading towards Parkend. The woods go right back towards Soudley. That's about 40 miles from Defford.
Suzanne
Hi, I have contacted the DW that covers Studley just incase, I've also asked on usters page as to the area/ wood ha he adult springer was seen so that my husband can go out tomorrow just incase it is Biggles
B30
Studley, Warks is only about 18/19 miles as the cross flies which he could have covered easily in a week.
Laraine
It is a bit confusing on Busters page at the moment - last night it was spelled sudley, and I took that to mean Studley, someone else has spelled it Stoudley this morning so I assume they mean Studley near Winchcombe.
DogLostDebs2460 - Area Volunteer, Worcs, Warks, West Mids
Sudeley they could mean, which is about 15 miles away, so that would be feasible.
Unknown
Hi Laraine can't find Sudley on the map. Do you mean Studley?
Laraine
just been looking on Buster's page (Springer puppy stolen from Forest of Dean) reports of an adult Springer running around in woods at Sudley - Biggles could have traveled that far across country? worth checking.
Suzanne
Hi Laraine, thank you that would be brilliant if you wouldn't mind. I have contacted some friends who are involved with some of the local shoots and they are spreading the word, thankyou again Suzanne
Suzanne
Hi Sue. Thank you that's great. We are still putting up posters in local villages and dog walking areas, contacted local shoots, businesses, bin man, rescue centres, vets, kennels and the DW for Wychavon. People are also spreading the word on Twitter and Facebook, so fingers crossed, thanks again for your help Suzanne
B30
Suzanne I'm going to advertise Biggles in the Countryman's Weekly as soon as possible. I'll hopefully get him on the next list but it will be a few weeks before the advert and his photo is published.
Suzanne
Hi All, I have received photos from the dog warden in S80 and unfortunately it wasn't Biggles so we are still searching for him, thanks for notifying me tho as anything and any location is possible, Thanks Suzanne
Suzanne
Hi Marthers22, thank you for letting me know about this I have contacted the Local Dog Warden in that area and they are on their way to collect the dog and will scan it when they get back and will let me know. It is a bit far but we do have a lot of Haulage companies around where we live so anything is possible, keep you updated, Suzanne
mathers22
Springer found S80 45488 - male - no picture - perhaps a bit far but thought I'd mention. xx
Laraine
Have you contacted the local shoots? I will take some posters out with me on Sat. as I usually see a couple of people with working Springers where I walk my dogs. They shoot on the Madresfield and Birtsmorton estates, but hopefully they can get the word round other shoots. Have you spoken to Pip Singleton the Wychavon DW - she is vewry helpful and has good contacts.
Suzanne
Hi LisaMell, thank you for doing that, its great, thank you for your help.
Thank you to everyone for there help and support in finding Biggles, it is amazing the support that we have received.
Over the last couple of days we have contacted RSPCA, Springer Spaniel rehoming sites and local rescue homes/ kennels with a majority of them coming back and saying they will contact us if they hear anything and add it to websites and notice boards etc. I have sent posters out to vet practices in Pershore/ Worcester and Upton on Severn and put up more posters. It has also been posted on loads of Facebook and Twitter sites and word is around the village through word of mouth and postings in pubs etc...... Fingers crossed as this is so unlike Biggles and very odd that he has just vanished!

Sorry to see that BIGGLES is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (45333)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
