Sarah ,how is the postering going locally ? I think as it has been established by markings and the micropchip number that the found dog was not Patch, all efforts need to be concentrated on finding Patch and the best way to do this is by local posters and adverts in the local press.
sarah
they wasnt from same litter as iv had patch from bein born iv got her dad n did av her mum but gave her t my brother as she turned once she had the pups x

Could I just stae here that I did not find the dog in Sittingbourne that was thought to be Patch, I only posted it on here for the lady that found the dog, the dog is not Patch as confirmed by the dog warden so i dont appreciate being messaged by the owners of Patch saying I have stolen their dog when i only tried to help a lost dog
Stroodsue
It could be they BOTH came from the same litter! Would the petlog folks tell you.. doglost team, if they are from a similar location??
sarah

Thanks everyone. Have spoken to Sarah this morning and sadly the found dog is not patch as the microchip details do not match.
It seems that Patch may have been STOLEN from the garden.
Owner is going to report Patch missing to the dog warden services and start postering the area and report to the police and check with holding kennels.
Have telephoned Petlog on behalf of the owner and they have kindly updated owner's contact numbers and have checked but so far Patch has not been scanned in anywhere.
Everything crossed for news of her very soon

I agree with Angus and also the 'found' dog seems to have quite a large tip of white on her tail.

I have put the 2 pictures together and although very close the front right leg markings do not match or the shape of the white as it goes over the head towards the ears - the black mark on Patches white ear does not seem to match the found - they are very similar though but personally I don' think they are a match - I have sent comaparison picture to Patches owner & kent finder Sue by emailLast edited: 2012-11-10 23:51:34 by Angus

Sorry to see that PATCH is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (45080)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
