Hi all, my first post here, I'm actually in Australia so not much help searching for dogs lost in the UK but I felt compelled to comment on little Bentley here. I am a grown man of 27 years and I have been in tears for the past few days after reading this, it makes me sick that these little mongrels would do something to this beautiful little boy. Let me just say that you are very strong, if happened to me I would be an absolute mess. I hope the little b******s who did this have karma bite them tenfold.

i'm truely heart broken little Bently hasn't been found. i can't believe the b******s who did this have no conscience (spelling!) the least they could do it write a letter telling you where he is and what's happened to him. heartless b******s. i wish and hope Bentley is sound and well and with some wonderful family who saw him and decided to take him on, atleast he'd be happy that way - thinking of you little man, fingers and toes still crossed.

What an adorable puppy Bentley was, must be a junior Boxer by now. Horrible that someone could take pleasure from beating a defenceless pup, shame that they haven't been identifed. Would crimewatch be interested if there was CCTV footage? Fingers crossed that there is some news about Bentley, might also be worth contacting Boxer Rescue, www.boxer-rescue.org.uk or Dawn Nicholls who works with another Boxer Rescue and might be able to provide local Boxer rescue contact,s telephone, 01406 490350. yeah ive seen the pic and the boxer has very similar marks,on legs. Facial brows and ears seem to have similarity's,dark patches on side of nose arent very clear from dog trust pic,but that colour could have faded.i'd say he's definately worth checking out,

Oh Kristyna - you really couldn't be more wrong. Everyone on this site is desperate to see lost dogs found and reunited with their families. If we didn't care - we wouldn't bother logging on would we? Your comments don't really help Bentley's family to stay positive. And they need to be positive and keep hope and faith. There are just so many missing and stolen dogs that it just isn't possible to check and leave a comment on each and every one every single day. please re-check with police stations,make sure he has not been logged in the lost property book,go to the station in person ask them to check their records again,report him at all local police stations and surrounding areas,the police make mistakes when recording details,ask them to look for any other lost/found book logs,sometimes if they can't find the lost book they will start a fresh book,

Melli, I'm fairly new to the site and I can't get Bentley out of my head. You mentioned another web site on one of Bentley's pages with CCTV pictures of the ____ who took him. What web site? I'll print off their pictures and get hubby to keep a look out as he's a lorry driver and gets around a bit. We have a little Blenheim Cavalier - don't know what we'd do if anyone took her.

I have had an e mail today from crimewatch informing me that they can only get involved in cases that are bought to them by the police as part of an ongoing investigation so they would need for the police to contact them directly. So a little upset at the moment has any one else heard from crimewatch.

I could not watch the footage, but supported you all from the kitchen saying has it finished yet, call me a coward but I would not sleep, I can not imagine what the poor owners must be going through, to have your dog lost, stolen is bad enough in itself, but to find CCTV footage of the awful events leading up too!!! The police surely have to see it and do something, they must stop this happening EVER again......... by making an example of.

I have seen the original footage at owners house and I believe Bentley will survive-when my Boxer was that age he went flying down a steep flight of stairs without a scratch on her-just looked a bit dazed. Hopefully we are getting somewhere with the Sun newspaper crime reporter-he has been in touch with us and owner and has been sent the footage.

jenny ........ i saw the footage on bentley it was horrid it brought me to tears i cant believe kids not much older than mine could be so bloody cruel, my kids saw the footage as well and were very disturbed by it and every day i come on here i hope and pray thats theres good news even my 6 year old says mummy any news on little bentley she has had dogs all her short life bless her and adores all animals and she gets upset bout the thought of a injured animal i just hope this little fella is ok i hope like all people on here these brats are caught soon and punished i cant even think how the owners feel and i wish them good news soon even though they r going through hell at the moment theres lots of people who feel for them xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I still really don't understand why the police have not visited the lads concerned!! I thought you had names for them, is this now not the case? I pray every evening when I log on that Bentley will be on the 'blue' pages, but unfortunately not yet. I'm one of the lucky ones and didn't see the TV footage of the tape as it must have been so upsetting ... for anyone who did, is Bentley likely to have survived such a beating? God willing he has done! However, what reason do the police have for not getting more involved or the RSPCA for that matter ... I can't believe that they won't take it further.

THe news is that police have some good leads and have visited a number of addresses. so far without result. However we are expecting a result sooner rather than later . keep everything crossed folks - we all owe you a lot .

I just hope Bentley is found safe and well. As fer getting these yobs banged up we know it wont happen. All I want to hear is a happy ending. Can I just add we all feel really deep for this little fella for being so badly treated. But dont forget all the other lost dogs and heartbroken owners. Is it worth going to the local social services they may have history on these disgusting children!! they will not give out any info I am sure but if they have a Social worker or simular then they could feed back!! to the police, if they spotted Bentley surely their heart would make them act. I am discusted with what has happened to Bentley and I'm sure a lot of other dog owners will be even if they have never had a dog stolen. I read the suggestions about emailing Paul O Grady which I think is a brilliant Idea I,m sure that if we can get well known dog owners to read about these disgusting stories which we all have about these little Mr B'Stards as i call them they must be shocked. I actually sent an email to Paul about my own westie that has just been stolen because I thought my experience was bad enough but Bentley case takes the biscuit! I was going to try to get a letter to Sharon Osborne via one of our local lads who has got through to the 2nd stage of the X Factor and tell her about this brilliant web site and my story, but I am now also going to to tell her about Bentley and some of the other sickening thiefs that are highlighted on the web site and hopefully we can spur both her and paul ogrady to help us let the country know exactly what is happening to our babies. Every one of us should email paul O grady at www.itv.com/paulogradyshow and then maybe some one will listen to us. I also intend to promote doglost.com the best way i can cos the way that me and my partner see it if the website gets known about so do all our dogs!!!! I live in Cheshunt/Goffs Oak and am in the process of printing posters to put up all over the place and I have already posted to all in my address book via e mail and on our works web pages and have had a lot of reply's by shocked dog owners. My partner David and I own 4 dogs and we are so paranoid even to let our babies go out in the garden through fear of what might happen to them. Hi Vick, To get onto crimewatch you need to get nominated by your police officer. When i enquired about jake 21.1.05 I spoke to someone at Crimewatch and they said that if the officer who was dealing with it got involved they would look into the story. Sadly too much paperwork mean't they would'nt but as there is cctv footage of the little brats then i am sure this would be a path worth following!!! I will look through my emails and see if there is anyone i contact from whom i spoke to before!!!!!!!!!! Sarah x

I am not sure if this has to be led by the Police but if we could, then it is probably the widest coverage we can get and it will be a really good opportunity to get coverage for Dog Lost at the same time and hopefully get these two idendified and rightfully punished. Baileys mom, i know how you are feeling, i keep checking this link all day hoping there is some good news, looking at the blue column first then checking the red. That is such a good idea about the schools, also try colleges!!! and any youth centres near by, estates and local shops! Kids always hang aroud them, also local parks.If the CCTV pictures can be circulated this will surely make Bentley too hot and they will dump him somewhere!!! I have spoken to owners last night and it appears they were not breaking in for a dog but trying to gain access to the house -when they could not get in they took their frustration out on the puppy by kicking it around. ? young youths wearing track suits,baseball caps and hoodies.

Dear friends , thank you all for offering so much encouragement in our search for Bentley. We shall not rest untill we find out what has becomeof him We have circulated his loss via Missing pets Bureau who are circulating vets etc. The local press is involved as is the Evening Standard. If anyone has the facility to print out and distribute posters in the East London and Essex areas please contact me via email and i will be able to send a digital picture of Bentley. Is this a recent picture? I live in Waltham Abbey and have seen a boxer puppy that looks very similar to Bentley but is a bit bigger & looks a bit older that Bentley looks in this picture. I will also put posters up in Waltham Abbey and at my Dog training club in Enfield. Was it teenagers on the CCTV??

I feel completely sick at what I have just read about this poor little thing and just want to cry. I am about to go away on business tomorrow but am going to print off the emailed poster and try and put it up around my area in Buckhurst Hill - I also have to go to my vets today to sadly pay for the euthanasia of my little three year old - have been putting it off - and so will take a poster with me to leave there. Please god this little thing is found by the time I return. Why would you want to hurt a dog if you are going to steal it. Beyond me? Hmm what I would like to do to them.
