Bonnie's owner saw her DogLost poster and contacted us. She was taken home this evening and everybody was very pleased to see her! So glad to see her safely reunited.Last edited: 2012-05-30 20:13:43 by Fabapocalypse

Another two calls and the dog warden has called us back! And has all the details and a full description now. He's happy for us to keep her for the moment while we try to find a rescue who can spare a foster home. Poor girl seems very restless and disturbed today - she's pacing around and whining quietly. It could be she's uncomfortable with the heat and her joints, but I think she may just want us to take her home now. Very sad...

Our vet thinks she's at least 13 and too small to be a full GSD. If she's going to be with us for a while he'll check her bloods - we're worried she may be missing some long-term medication from another vet.

This nice old lady has now been seen by a vet, who says she has been well looked after. She has no microchip, and has almost certainly been spayed. Her back leg problem appears to be hip dysplasia; he has dispensed some painkillers for this and her general creakiness. She is still safe with her finders; she is awaiting a visit from the local Dog Warden who seem to have some communication problems (four phone calls made so far). Makes things difficult for anybody locally who is trying to find her. Her poster has been put up in the area she was found.
