Just got back in to this excellent news! Glad I gave up when the rain arrived. I can see Penny Pot farm from my front window, I should have just stayed at home and kept an eye out from here :D Very glad Paddy is home safe.

He's found! He's found! He's found!
He was picked up at Penny Pot farm nearly 4 miles away, handed in to vets where they microchipped him and rang us.
Thanks for your advice and support.
A happy and relieved MArk :-)

Went out this morning at 6, checked a few barns, left some trails...drove round the area again putting up a few more posters...

Mark, keep looking... he'll go to ground at night and if he acts like all the other dogs out loose, he'll be out at dawn looking for food. In the rain, he'll find shelter, so probably not worth you looking then - use that time to get wet and poster instead. Orchards have loads of rabbits (their droppings are fantastic food for a dog) and rodents so you need to be out when they are out. Few early mornings for you! Typically a dog of his size will go about 3 miles radius.. so initially don't try and go too far away - however if he's been picked up of course he could be further but concentrate on covering the area in that radius to start with. Loads and loads of farms in your area so make sure you visit each with a poster and check open barns and stables.

Thanks for your support. He was lost through the neighbouring house which is on lower lees rd in old wives lees. We live just past the oast houses on the right hand side. There's a number of possibilities as our neighbour has no front gate, he could have wondered into orchards opposite the front of the house. Or, he could have got out the back of their garden which backs onto another set of Orchards...I have set some posters/flyers out in local shops, pubs and some houses today...I don't think I walked so many miles in a long time...We're devastated to loose him, some people suggesting he won't have gone far others saying they've found their dogs/puppies a few miles away after days...keep trying to second guess where & what...have made several 4 hour walks around but there's so many big fields to cover...just hoping he'll find his little way to someone kind enough to hand him in...thanks again for your support, mark

Hi - poor wee thing. Which fields? I am local and could help search if I know roughly where to start! I can do some postering tomorrow if still no news. Hope Paddy's found safe.
