Sarah
Hi Claire, No news of Scout I am afraid. She hasn't been seen since the Sunday of the weekend she went missing.
claire
is there any news on this baby yet ? xx
Sarah
Hi Paula,

No further sightings of Scout at this stage. The most likely scenario is that she has been picked up and taken in by someone who decided they wanted to keep her. Hence the posters everywhere!
The funfair was already there when I put the posters up, I did ask someone at the funfair if they had seen her and although he wasn't overly helpful he said they hadn't seen her.

Thanks for the offer to help look Ryan, Ben and I are both really touched by how kind and helpful everyone has been!
Ben
Hi Ryan

Thank you for offering to help. The Crooked Billet would be as good a starting point as any and probably the opposite side of the road to the pub. Thanks again.
Ryan
Hi, I'm from Hartley Wintney and saw your posters today. I would like to take a walk and help look for Scout. Do you have a suggestion as to where I should start? From the Crooked Billet? And if so which side of the A30? Ryan

Hi Sarah
Has there been any sightings at all of Scout since that Sunday??
I drove through Hartley Wintney today and I saw some of your posters.
Was the funfair all ready there when you put the posters up?

Hi Shereen,

I've just noticed that the build of Scout says giant, just an oversight I'm sure but she is a medium size dog. She has a wiry coat, full tail and a tattoo in her left ear as she is from Australia and this shows that she has been neutered. I don't want to seem pedantic just want to have as much information on here as possible! Thanks again for your help
Shereen

Sarah
Hi to everyone who has posted on here. Thank you for your concern and willingness to help look for Scout! It is really touching. I am Sarah, Ben's fiancee.
Sadly, at this stage we have ad no further sightings or information as to where Scout may be.

In terms of further information I can provide about her and when she went missing-
* She was being looked after by someone for us as we were away and as such she is not overly familiar with the Hook area. She has never escaped before but will quite happily walk off the lead and return. She has a lovely nature, but was a rescue dog and as such can be quiet timid and may try to avoid strangers. As Ben has said, she was sighted at the park but hasn't been seen since. All of the areas in and around Hook have been searched on foot and by car, with us constantly calling and whistling to her. After speaking to several vets and authorities on the matter yesterday, they said that they believe she is still alive or we would have had notification that her body had been found, but they also said that it is not uncommon in these situations for people to mistake a lost dog for a stray or to find her and not know what to do with her and take her in. Fingers crossed this is the case and someone sees our posters and gets in touch.

As the last piece of information we have to go by is that she was seen at the park, we plan to go there on Sunday and hand out as many fliers and posters as possible and also at the local supermarket.

Thank you again for your concern and advice. Fingers crossed she is found very soon!

Hi Ben
Sorry to hear that Scout's still missing.
Has anyone given advice to you about getting posters up, contacting vets, community centres the community police, pet shop etc etc. Time is of the essence, you have to get the info out there..just thought all of the local pubs. Is this common for Scout to go walkabout?? would she find her way back home normally? I live in Hook and I have 2 dogs so always walking around locally, and I always carry a spare all in one collar and lead so I would pick her up if I see her. There are alot more experienced people on this site that hopefully can give you more info. I know a lot of members put lost dogs on facebook as well..(which I don't have)just try EVERYTHING...you can contact me if you would like help with posters.... Also get out walking with her sister to scent her pee everywhere to try to keep her in a close radius. Keep positve.Paula
Ben
Hi

My fiancée and I are Scout's owners. As you can see from above Scout and her sister went missing from Holt Lane on the evening of Saturday April 14th. Her sister was picked up and returned the following evening. Two different people claim to have sighted Scout at the park by Hook Community Centre on Ravenscroft on Sunday morning but since then we have heard nothing else.

If anyone has any info or thinks they have seen Scout please get in touch as she is deeply missed by her owners and her sister is missing someone warm to curl up next to.

Thank you
pw
Just re checked telephone numbers, you can use either to get through to Fleet council offices. Just spoke to Shereen, she has spoken to the dog warden and hopefully later the owner may learn of this site, as there are people that would like to get more info on what happened and help to find Scout.
pw
Shereen..the number for the dog warden in Fleet is 01252 622122. Shereen and myself have left a message with lyn to call us with hopefully more info.. I live literally a stones throw away from Holt Park and I am happy to help to find this litle one as the A30 is not a good place for dogs! Paula

Sorry to see that SCOUT is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
