Thanks Kathy. Looks the found one has a curly coat and Bella is smooth. Found dog really does sound like an oldie by description.Last edited: 2012-04-09 08:31:51 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=38149 This is the one found in the South
Kathy
If a dog is picked up by some well meaning soul, the people will usually carry on with their journey, however many miles away they are heading, which is why this website is so super as it covers the whole of the UK. An elderly Jack Russell has been found in the South West with a green jacket, but your postings show she is a young adult, so probably not her - perhaps though worth a look at the page.

Well there is the story of Puff, Leona, who ended up about 30 miles away and was found weeks later.

Can you email me a poster please. I am new to doglost, but live in EH52 so will put a poster in the local shop (if I am allowed!) or in my window.

There is now a £500 reward for Bella's safe return
siobhan
still no sign of Bella. The search goes on. my heart really goes out to Petrie and Collete. The stables just aren't the same without her, just keep expecting her to come running round to greet us in the morning. Sable, thanks for putting the poster up at seafield. Also, you are right, it was saturday, sorry, my brain is mush! x

Bella will not be at Dogs Trust. They do not take in strays. She would be at Edinburgh Dog and Cat home, who are aware and also have been sent a poster from me.
siobhan
Thanks all, ginge, checked dogs trust and there is a poster up in the golf club. house to house been done in harburn and round the farms. all suggestions welcome though, there might be something or somewhere we have missed.

There is a dogs trust centre at Harburn...might be worthwhile asking in there....incase someone has picked Bella up and taken her there. Also, ask in the golf club....golfers could look out for her in the area. Hope she is home soon.

Have not had that info from owner, and he also said she went missing on Saturday. If she has got into a fight with a fox there could be no trace of her now, but owner never told me she had done.Last edited: 2011-12-19 16:18:29 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

Sorry to see that BELLA 500 POUNDS REWARD is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (35425)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
