- I wonder if Gumtree will agree to owners of stolen dogs going thru' the older adverts / records, in the hope of finding their stolen dogs..... I'm sure that where there is a crime ref. No, - that the police would lean on Gumtree. (or is that silly to presume?)

- I've just looked on Gumtree - so upsetting, but good reason for anyone having lost/stolen dogs to look on there. How shocking that he was up for sale immediatley! Well done owners, but please now microchip and get his belly tattood. So many JRT's being taken.

- So pleased Sober is home. Come on Mr Policeman charge them with not complying with the law of telling all authoritys that they had found a dog and for selling a dog that was not theirs.

- Thanks for warning.....well tracked down, owner, and glad buyer gave Sober back, it coiuld have been so much worse.....hope police take this seriously and charge seller, but doubt there'll be the necessary "proof" of theft???xx Hope Sober is ok and will get a microchip now.xx

- Sober is home. WARNING - This dog was stolen on Tuesday 6th Dec & was immediately put on the GUMTREE website for sale with a false reason for sale,dog's name etc .Owners saw the advert & were ,with a lot of difficulty, able to source the buyer who luckily was a very nice man & he was happy to give them their dog back. Sober is subdued but ok.The police are investigating this crime.
