Could this be Patch? Please take a quick look. No chip found in this dog but it could have moved.

DogLost has been well highlighted in todays Leicester Mercury with an interview by Shereen, our Oxfordshire Co Ordinator. Lets hope it brings some good news about currently missing LE dogs
Neighbark
also a few JRT's for sale on Gumtree. The spelling and termanology makes me think the people selling are not well-educated, or very literate, if u get my meaning!
Neighbark
check out animalsearchuk.co.uk there's a few found JRT's.
Ellie
At an interview today for BBC News Leicester I was able to highlight the missing dogs in our area. The link is http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-15867587. Do hope this brings some good news soon.

Sorry Ellie I saw this yesterday and spoke to him (didn't want to interfere) but I was confused as well, but dog may have been picked up and then dumped, so thought it might be worth a call. Liz xxLast edited: 2011-11-14 11:28:53
Ellie
There was a sighting of a white and black dog (poss beagle type which could be mistaken) on Lubbesthorpe Way as on Animalsearcuk.co.uk website that was brought to my attention. I have sent a message to owner but feel people are getting confused with Braunstone Town, Leicester and the village of Braunston in Rutland.
Snowdrop

Ellie
Postered at Rutland Water while we were out today.

Patch will be in the Rutland papers this today and tomorro and in the Leicestershire Mercury and mail server that goes round all the Leicestershire villages Thurs Friday and Saturday this, he will also be on the Leicester Mercury website for the next week
Ellie
Owner has just rang back and informed that he was staying just across the road with relatives from his farm house home when he was let out and disappeared. He knows the area very well and isnt the sort to go down a hole. He is very friendly and approachable and owner wonders if a passing motorist has picked him up. He is doing everything that Sue has advised in our information sheet.
Ellie
Now that I have internet access back on again, I have sent owners of Patch a text message asking for details of how he went missing or any other useful info or sightings. Stay safe Patch until you are found.
Faye
Have sent Patches poster to S.Kesteven District council, Info@animal wardens.co.uk. also oakhasm vet hospital. Hope this lovely little man is soon home.

Firstly, any more information please regarding exactly where Patch was lost?
If not already done, suggest the following: contact Barry Briggs Rutland Dog Warden (lovely man) who will also help you coordinate your search with other areas - ie Leicestershire.
If not already done. poster all three Vets in Oakham, and also the ones in Melton, Uppingham and Stamford.
Would also suggest Oakham supermarkets, Tesco and Coop plus Wilkinson, SAPS Petfoods,(Oakham and Stamford) Bradleys animal feeds Oakham, and Buttercup Feeds in Melton. Also CWG (Central Wool Growers) and NFU.
Would also check with South Kesteven Council at Grantham regarding lost dogs.
Might also be worth postering Meltom Mowbray market for tomorrow, in particular the cattle market area. Local pubs also good, and poster the dog walk at Sykes Lane Rutland Water, the entrance to the walk from Exton Avenue through Exton park. amd also Hambleton Bakery which is near there.
Contact Cottesmore Hunt to ask them to circulate their members.
Rutland Radio are very good at putting out appeals.
Am currently laid up and unable to drive after surgery, so hope my suggestions helpLast edited: 2011-11-07 07:55:15 by AJD

Sorry to see that PATCH is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (34187)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
