- Fantastic news! A great reward for all of your hard work trying to find Jake and nice to see that the people who found Jake did the right thing once they knew his story. Enjoy having Jake back with your family.

- Why do people think they can steal your dog if they find it, beggars believe, they have no idea how upsetting it is for the owners who are out looking for their pet, I know from experiece sad

- Yes!! Jake is home, we have got him safe and sound!!Yipee!! We went over the MK car boot this morning and the people who had him had a stall there and he was with them. The lady was a little upset to return him and had a few tears. The good thing was he has not been wandering the streets for long and had a good home for a week. However we are so very very happy and this little dog is back with us. Can I just give a huge, huge thank you to everyone who helped us look for him. This is a good ending for us and I wish all the other dog owners good luck with being reunited with their dogs. Thank you again. As you may be able to tell we are very pleased.

- Thank you for all the help looking, we are not from MK but from Luton and one or more of us come up every day to look around and to give leaflets and posters out. We will come to the car boot on Sunday and give some flyers there too. We are trying to get an ad in the paper and thanks for all you ideas and suggestions. We haven't got many clear photos of Jake as the phone with all the pictures on has got broken and we cannot retrieve them. Speak soon

- Just been in contact with Vet at Stony Stratford who has a poster and has faxed to other branches in Milton Keynes.
Just about to go for a walk and will keep eyes peeled for Jake - 2011-09-29 10:51 Unknown
- If this little dog has been found and not reported, it is essential to put ad in local paper, asking people to report any friends/neighbors who have just acquired a dog, in case they are not aware of the situation. I live on Furzton and will be on the lookout for Jake.

- Pleased you have a definite sighting but it must be a very difficult time for you. I am happy to hand out flyers @ car boot on sunday if you need any more help. We will keep our fingers x'd for you.

- It is good that you may have a lead see if you can get an advert in the local paper with a picture of him as soon as possible
Start by putting free advert on here

I would get a load of small 4 to a page flyers made up to give out to people at the car boot next weekend - do you have any clearer images of him that we could use to make up a new poster -- if you have send via text to me

- Hi this is Jakes owners. We had a phone call from a lady today that had a stall at the car boot selling "Cat Items" and she said a couple came around the car boot with a little dog matching Jakes description. She said they brought a collar and a lead off another stall and walked around with him. They said they found it at the entrance and assumed gypsies had dumped him there. The lady called us when she saw one of our posters and is worried she may have upset us more now but to be honest if he is in safe hands it is better than roaming, but we still want his safe return. Now, assuming it is Jakes and those people have him at home, is this now theft? They obviously haven't reported it to any authorities as they would have let us know by now. We are going to go to the car boot Sunday and hope they return with him there. This is a long shot and we may also advertise in papers that go to a large radius of MK. We are praying this is Jake as at least he is safe and maybe being fed and looked after. We desperately want him back though and will continue to poster all areas so maybe the people who have him might see it. We still are looking for him just in case this isn't him. It seems likely that it is though.

- Sorry - I forget that not everyone knows which ones are our parks! If you give me a call anytime before 5pm tomorrow, I can talk you through each of the parks and how they link up. Happy to meet you with a map & go through it in person if that helps? My number is 07770 646583. I will check the lake again early tomorrow morning - it is bin day in Furzton tomorrow so if he is still around by the hotel he may scavenge from the bins in Bilbrook Lane. Will take a spare lead & fingers crossed we'll find him 2mrrw.

- Spoke to two ladies walking round Furzton @ 9am and a dog matching Jake's description came up to one of their dogs to say hello on Monday morning - the dog did not have an owner with it.. They hadn't seen posters so can't be sure it was Jake. I have walked around Teardrop Lakes this morning - the area mentioned by Berties Family - but no sign. Let me know if you need help putting up posters. Try not to put posters on lampposts as they could be classed as flyposting by the council :-( If you use tape, not pins or staples, you are welcome to post in our parks :-)

- if he was lost at 8am on Sunday and is friendly he possibly crossed over the road to the car boot.....there are fields there and also it leads through to Bleakhall where there is a burger van and quite a few buildings - anyone available to poster there. I am at work and also going out tonight. if I get chance at lunchtime I will go to the burger van and ask for any sightings (will take a poster). Also if you head to the bowl and turn left there is a popular dog walking area. Angus you have my daughters phone number - can any sightings be sent to us and we will get to the area asap

- No sign of Jake at Furzton Lake this morning - I stopped with my dogs by the hotel and called his name but no luck although visibility was really poor in the fog. I will let the Parish Wardens for Furzton know as they also patrol the lake sometimes. We'll keep looking - Jake has to be somewhere!
- 2011-09-26 23:42 JDC
- Thank you. Yes Jake is very friendly and may come if called. He is ok with other dogs and still has that playfulness about him. Thank you for all your help. We have been putting posters in the area and leaflets through doors tonight.
- 2011-09-26 21:11 Community Ranger, The Parks Trust
- Everyone will do everything they can to find him. I'm walking my dogs around Furzton Lake between 6am-7am tomorrow & I will take a spare lead. Is Jake friendly with other dogs/people? Is he likely to come if we call him? I will speak to all of the early morning dog walkers & anglers I can find.

- The Parks Trust will get posters put up on our land around Furzton Lake on Tues 27th Sep & ask our staff & volunteers to report any sightings. We will also advise the fishing club so that overnight anglers can report any sightings. If you have any confirmed sightings out of office hours, I can respond any evening (except wed & sat) Fingers crossed that none of this is needed & Jake finds his way home.
