Many thanks Mollymoo and to Michelle for chasing this up for me. Happy to say the owners of the dog found today by the Salford Dog Warden have been found and going to collect him tomorrow.

Aww what a shame for this Milo but hope he found a very loving home. Let me know if you find out for definite Michelle and I will send him into the blue, thanks.
michelle mott
If I remember correctly I think a family member sold milo and he didnt 'go missing' after all. I think the owner who contacted me was a teenage girl and she found out her mum had sold him on x

C69354 - We believe this dog to be called 'Milo'. He is chipped but his chip details are not up to date. A very kind member of the public found Milo last night in the ‪#‎Eccles‬ area, took him in gave him a bath & lots of TLC. Milo isnt wearing a collar so no tag either. Do you know Milo? If so, please ring our contact centre on 909 6500. Please like & share the photo as every share helps!

Does Milo have any white on his chest? There is a young male staff on the Aspen Valley Rescue central site that looks quite similar - but does have a small amount of white on his chest - he is listed on the site as Chad.

Fantastic news Gillibobs2012, so please the found boy was reunited with his family, you did a great job for him :)

Never did get a reply about Milo, just hope he is already home and that is why they haven't answered. Wherever you are Milo, hope you are safe little man :( x

This dog is now back with it's owners in Caddishead confirmed by Leigh Cats and Dogs home, I'm full of joy for my little friend

Sorry not replied sooner, we had one of our rescue dogs go missing from foster so been tied up with that! (Our doggie is safe now). Yes, the boy I was looking at was on Aspen's site, but isn't any more - he must've been claimed. So sad you can't reach Milo's owners though.

i think jackalee has located the dog but not the owner dee! not the m45 one, seems he might of turned up at leigh dogs home but the owner cannot contacted
i put the staff found in m45 on, it was on a gumtree ad put on by manchester dogs home, there are pics on there but my mac wouldn't let me save them to upload Last edited: 2012-04-05 19:25:54 by emmalouise

Thanks emmalouise, I left a message on facebook on Tuesday but no reply. I also rang the Salford Dog Warden today to see if they had a different contact number but they never had a missing report for Milo. I've tried everything :(
emmalouise
Just a thought, if you the full name of the owner or their friend maybe try facebook/twitter?

Just an update. No reply from the email and the mobile number is still switched off. I have looked on the Animal Warden website but it is the same number listed http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/lost-found-dogs-search?sobi2Task=sobi2Details&_____catid=0&sobi2Id=20103.

I have just spoken to Will, one of the Salford Dog Wardens and he is out on the road at the moment but sent him an email for him to check if they have Milo's owners number on record. All the details we have are for Amy, a friend of Milo's owner.

Witchy-poos, this found dog is at Leigh Cats & Dogs. Is the one at Aspen on the website?
Witchy-poos
I'm guessing the possible match is the boy that came into Aspen valley - just in case it's not, there is a very similar looking boy in Aspen - they do cover as far as some areas of Manchester as far as I'm aware. xx
DogLostJackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
I have sent an email to the address registered with us but its actually a friend of Milo's owner. The listed mobile is still switched off but will keep trying.

Thanks Jayne, there are a few people that have tried to contact Milo's owner. Will send them an email after dinner.

Thanks Emma and everyone who is helping in the search for this boy.

Owner should also be checking with Leigh Cats & Dog's Home if not already. Keeping everything crossed he is found soon. Jan x

Sorry to see that Milo is missing. We are usually pretty on the ball with cross checking dog lost and our facebook page, but I have been on leave all week and Will has been on his own, so its been pretty hectic for him. I am back in work this week whilst Will takes time off so I will call you if we get any dogs of a similar discription, we always post on our facebook page if we can so keep checking up there as well.

Thanks michelle and hippy chick. I have received an email from the owner asking about the AW site. I have explained the way it works and also mentioned the 'Dogs in Salford' facebook page. Didn't get chance to speak to them today, will ring them tomorrow :)
Unknown
Salford dog wardens have a facebook page called 'dogs in salford' someone has posted the DogLost details on it..Might be worth the owners joining the group if possible :)
michelle mott
Thanks for all the info and advice and I have passed it all on to the owners, Sadly the dog the wardens picked up wasnt Milo but it was a female, its details had been put on the site wrong. I have asked owner to print off posters A.S.A.P. and start sticking them up in the area. x
Unknown
Hi'Not sure which home the owners have visted but normally its Leigh cats and Dogs home for Salford area but worth trying Manchester Dogs home aswell :)
Goldenfrodo
Thank you for letting us know Michelle. Fingers crossed there's some good news soon.

Sorry to see that MILO is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (31657)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
