Oh I am so glad everything went OK and that Oscar is going to be fine. Although I get upset at the amount of missing dogs on this website, there are always a few that stick in my mind - Oscar is definitely one of them!! Thank you for giving us an update. Sending Oscar and his family lots of love x

Mrs B, I had a lovely suprise visit this evening from Oscar and his folks :o)
His Vet check went ok, he is now chipped!! He has a very dry nose and was strangley drowsy when he was handed over at the Police Station.
He perked up about 30 mins of being here and had a lovely time playing with the gang and eating chews.
There were a few tears of joy, I can tell you, especially after yesterday. Thank you everyone for your well wishes and concern.
CarolynB
So happy he is safe! I havent been able to stop thinking about him. I hope he isnt too traumatised after his ordeal. Please let us know if everything went OK at his vet checkup xx

I may not own Oscar but he is my baby when he is here with us. It's starting to sink in that he is back with his owners and after a very traumatic day and a sleepless night, I'm overwhelmed by your kindness. Your charity is amazing in the work that you do. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the police don't seem interested in this CRIME could it be escalated to someone higher up in the police, with a formal complaint if necessary?
Faye
Oh no, so sorry to hear that, his owners must be very upset.
Really hoping this boy is soon home where he belongs.
AlisonH
Disappointingly the police didn't turn up and Oscar was not returned to the owners. I will keep you all updated.

Hi Alison, I've plastered the doglost link to 2 local papers fb pages. Not sure if there is concern for owners welfare regards reporting in papers though.
AlisonH
Hi Vicky I have no idea who changed photo but I prefer the one now on site as it clearly shows his black mask. Hope the police are following up on this. Has owner contacted the Lincs Echo reporter as I suggested?
VizslaGSPMummy
The correct images are now on his page.
VizslaGSPMummy
Hi Alison, I've changed the pic back to original one I added. Bit of a problem yesterday uploading so had to reduce size. Thanks.
FAYE - In the poster pic he has a purple collar and black bone tag on,these are from when he was homeboarding with me. The thieves took his collar off in front of his owner! He had no tag on his collar though :o(
Faye
I printed some posters out yesterday... they are not up yet, Dont know now wether or not this is the right dog?Looks similar but does Oscar have a pink bone id tag on his collar?
DogLostAngus
HI Vicky - I have just checked admin emails - the two pictures are the two that were attached to your email to admin this morning - first one being image 0307 - I will remove the poster image and move image 2 up to the poster box
VizslaGSPMummy
I know this is a strange question but has somebody changed one of the pics I added? The top pic is now showing MY Hungarian Vizsla and is not the head shot I added of Oscar this morning!??? What's happened there??

This is dreaful.I've shared on FaceBook - maybe a group could be set up for him? He's very distinctive so should be easy to spot if enough people are aware of him.Do hope he is home safe soon.
AlisonH
Vicky I have been talking to the owner and have sent you and email with Flyers attached.
VizslaGSPMummy
Many thaks guys.
Oscar is a home boarding client of mine. I am heart broken as I adore him so much. Any help that I can give, I will. Local vets all alerted. Am now sitting by the phone awaiting any kind of news.
AlisonH
Have just spoken to Oscars owner. A while back 2 guys accused Oscar of killing some chickens then last week they were seen hanging around the property but unbeknown to them Oscar and his owners were away. Once owners had returned from the trip away the same 2 guys returned with a rope and took Oscar. Unfortunately the owner is disabled and was not able to intervene and his partner was not around. Police are aware and a crime number has been issued. Will make up some flyers and a poster and email along with other information. The 2 guys are know and owners have a good idea of where Oscar is. All this info has been passed on to the police.Last edited: 2011-05-17 13:58:16 by AlisonH
