I am delighted to confirm that Alfie was returned to our family home in good health on the evening of Thursday 17 March 2011.

We would like to thank everyone whom took the time to circulate Alfie's details for us, and we very much appreciate the assistance you all offered.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Gateshead branch of Blythman and Partners, for their prompt response in alerting us to the fact that Alfie had attended their surgery, and for their assistance in enabling Northumbria Police to recover him from an address close to their surgery later that evening. Thank you ever so much.

Alfie is still missing ! He escaped from his garden along with another dog which was found and is safely home again. Alfies owners have done all the right things, reporting to the dog warden, vets etc and have been postering and searching for Alfie. Alfie is microchipped and was wearing a collar and tag.Anyone finding him should have contacted his owners or reported this to the dog warden which they are required to do BY LAW ! His owners are going to keep postering to raise as much public awareness as possible ! hoping Alfie is home again very soon ~ Pam
