Phoned owners this morning as Rufus looked a good match for ED426-10 on strayaid. http://www.strayaid.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=11&layout=blog&Itemid=17
but was told that Rufus had been found a few days ago and has gone to Rainbow Bridge.
I'm so sorry Rufus didnt make it home safely. run free at the Bridge sweet lad xxx

am I right in thinking this isnt in the town area,,but farmers domain,,if so he could be travelling miles over fields etc I assume you know farmers in the area and are contacting those concerned? only one set of kennels up that way I think?

Rufus should be fine but hope he is safely home with you soon,,resourceful litte dogs like him know what to do ;-)

Delboy83 I know its cold but one way of getting public awareness would be to stand in a busy place with a loud hailer and let everyone know that Rufus is missing. Hand out missing dog posters at the same time. Ask friends and family to join you this might bring to the medias attention if they hear what you are doing.

Delboy83 so sorry there is still no news of Rufus. Please keep up on the postering to get as much public awareness as possible and also try your local papers to see if they will carry a story about him. Someone HAS to know where he is ! Also keep checking with dog wardens and stray kennels.

Rufus escaped from home and ran off just after 4pm on 11th December. His owners have informed the dog warden and I have advised that they try to visit both local stray kennels in person to check Rufus is not there. They have done some postering and will be doing more. Rufus is a pet and NOT a working dog and his owners are deaperate to have him back home with them. Hoping for some news of this boy very soon ~ Pam
