I sent Max's owner an email yesterday and received a reply to say that he is still missing. Dee, good to hear you've made contact as I was hoping to do this tomorrow for an update and to chase up a photo.

Max is described as a lurcher (small) some may even discribe him as a whippet, he was being walked down by the river when he ran after either a fox or a cat and just kept going

No photo available, unfortunately.

I'm sorry to hear that Max is missing. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find any UK Vet”, on the right hand side of the page under the “Latest Missing Dogs” photo - top right. If you have a picture of your dog, please upload one to the Doglost site, by clicking on “Update Details” on your dog’s page. Browse for the picture on your PC, add it and then click “update”. You must be logged in to Doglost to do this. Alternatively, email a picture to admin@doglost.co.uk giving your dog’s ID number, or name and postcode, and someone will upload it for you. As soon as a photo is added, a Missing poster will be generated and emails will be sent out to all local registered DogLost Helpers. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status e.g. sightings, reunited, etc. by clicking on “Add A Comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped, please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "View Poster" above. Start postering now! WE CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days, if it has no identification (microchip or ID tag), so please try to visit rescue centres in person (or ask a family member or friend, who knows your dog, to go on your behalf). Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
