- Pure breed Border collies come in long and short coat. (called short coated Border Collie). The Smooth Collie is a different breed.

- This dog is deffo not a smooth collie...but i do hope his owners find him soon...I agree Folly ..Collie-type....

- A smooth collie is actually a breed and so this description could be misleading. I have seen it used before on DL for short-coated collies. My suggestion would be just "collie-type" with the "short-coated" part in the description. I hope he is soon claimed.
