That is the most incredible news. We both were out over the weekend calling for Stella and kept thinking what it would be like if it were one of our girls. The relief this morning was almost like finding our own. We are so pleased for you all. If you're in the area at all would love to meet Stella when you're out walking.

The most wonderfull phone call came at 6. 40 this morning.' We have your greyhound and she is weak but OK' She had travelled for about 17 miles and found herself at a farm in the middle of nowhere and the kind farmer and his wife managed to catch her and given her some food before phoning us. We were out looking for her in the totally wrong location! The relief is indescribable!!!!!!!!!!

stella was found this morning at 6:30am she is coming home after 6 nights away from her family

you're doing so well Mum, you'll find her soon. It's great news that she has returned to the Churt area and the common is at least a safe place for her to be. She must have calmed down enough for someone to catch her and hopefully all the posters up in the area will encourage someone to grab her if they see her xxx

Another possible sighting at 7am this morning of a dog similar to Stella out on Churt common. Another long day of searching on foot but again, sadly, nothing
pinktoesww
had a confirmed sighting of her on Wed.at 9 am trotting around the Devil's Punchbowl. When a lady tried to catch her, she crossed the A3 and disappeared into the dense woodland.Have walked round the area and put more posters up but have had no luck at all.

We have continued searching the area today and have put up about 50 posters in Tilford, Elstead, Thursley and Churt. One rather vague report of a 'whippet' like dog running down the Tilford road. Waiting to hear more details.

Hi Jacqui again, Bourne Vets, just to let you know where I postered last night. Beacon Hill Vets, Churt Newsagents, and the field behind the Community Centre. Hindhead Golf Course, Pub in Churt on main road (don't remember name). Frensham Little Pond, both car parks and the Bourne Woods at 4 of entrances I passed. Also Kingsley Common this morning on my walk. Good luck and please let us know if we can be of any more help.

Thank you so much for looking for our lovely Stella. Since we received the news yesterday that she had run away from the friends who were looking after her, we have been bedside ourselves with worry. We have just got home and my husband has gone straight out to search for her, concentrating on the Crooksbury Hill area as it is somewhere she knows well. Tommorrow we will be doing everything possible to find her. The photo is an old one and she looks paler in colour now and should be wearing a pink collar with ID disk. She is also microchipped.

Thanks so much everyone, Mum and Dad are now on their way home to search for Stella.

Thank you Bourne vets!
Bourne Vets
Hi, my name is Jacqui and I work at The Bourne Veterinary Clinic in Lower Bourne. I have not seen any posters up around this area when walking my dogs. I will print off and poster the Bourne Woods, Frensham Little Pond and handout fliers to all clients when they visit the surgery so that they can be on the lookout for Stella. I have also just faxed a copy of the poster to our surgery in Beacon Hill and Tracey will put up posters when out walking and also put one up in the surgery. Please, please, get as many posters up around the area as possible. I'm not aware of anybody contacting the vets around here either to let us know. We can only put the word out when we are told. Thanks Dogs Lost for contacting us.

Thanks Angus. I've been looking at laminators as they seem to be useful things to have around in any case, and the Fellowes Cosmic A4 Laminator with Heat Guard Technology at £33 (free P&P) seems cheap and has received the best reviews - http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=Fellowes+Cosmic+A4+Laminator+with+Heat+Guard&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&scoring=p An opportunity for DogLost to do a deal or get some sponsorship, perhaps ?

Re the plastic folders - I know that Tesco's do their value range and they are about £1 for 100 sleeves - ensure that the hole is at the bottom and taped around to stop the poster falling out
DogLostAdministrator
Hello, I'm in the next village and received the alert at 7am this morning. I'm dog sitting today, but will keep my eye's peeled when out walking. Does anyone know a good place to buy some plastic folders? to put over the posters to stop them being destroyed in the wet - have DogLost done a deal with a supplier ?

phtos uploaded from admin - email alerts sould go out in the morning

Thanks doglost for setting this up. Please let us know if you have any news about Stella. She is microchipped and was wearing a collar with a tag when she went missing from the Churt area of Surrey. Please note that she could be heading to her home in Ash Green, Surrey. We feel she might also of headed to places where she was reguarly walked around the area - particularly Bourne woods in the Farnham area.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear Stella is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog, give them a poster and keep in touch with them every few days.. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
