- Other Info Ruby got out of the garden, she has been reported as found and originally reported to the Police, owner has contaced the finder and they will not give Ruby back. Finder has not reported her to the Dog Warden.

- Not long received good news by email from one very happy owner:..... Hi Jan good news Ruby has been found we traced her to a house in Tarlton the police was no help at all so we had to go and demand they gave us the dog back ourselves thanks for all your help and advice........ Have spoken to Ruby's family and so pleased for them, they have worked so hard and it finally paid off, they will be able to get some sleep now. Ruby was made up to see them and their other dog. Well done to her family and great to be moving her into the BLUE. Welcome home Ruby, lots of hugs and kisses. Jan xxx

- there is a telephone advice line for a solicitor who deals specifically with dog law. i would try there to see where you stand. doglaw.co.uk the police would have a record of the finder calling to show that the dog is not theirs so this may give you some legal rights Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I've registered Ruby on DL on behalf of her owner. Spoken to them today and given advice on things to do and will also email further/info. Owner's have tried to get a CRIME NUMBER from the Police and are having no joy, owner has spoken to the DW and Ruby has not been reported to them as FOUND. I've also checked with Halewood RSPCA in case she had been handed in. Jan x
