Wallace was spotted by a dog walker early this morning who immediately phoned the owner, she rushed up there with hubby and they caught him - SO SO pleased for them. He has a bite mark from the nasty GSD and a couple of other small injuries but he's safely home. YIPEE. Thank you so uch to the dog walker who phoned and thank god there were posters up everywhere.

Spent a couple of hours wondering the wood this afternoon, met owner and hubby who are doing a grand job, lots of posters up but need to get more up in a wider area and not just in and around the woods. Wallace is taken to the woods by car which is always parked in the same place, he knows the area well and would be able to find his way back to there. He is only a diddy chap and can easily hide in the undergrowth, lots of shelter for him too. Advised owner about scenting, she is leaving bedding out and food, will be going back dawn and dusk. I bet he's just observing everyone for now and will pop his head out when it's quite and he's a bit more confident. Laura (DW) was up there for hours today looking as well. Hopefully we'll all be back again tomorrow but meantime if anyone else is in the area PLEASE PLEASE help look for him, Sherborne-St-John, follow signs to The Vyne down Morgaston Road and park but the gates at the entrance to the forest about 1 mile down the road. Fingers crossed he;s found soon.

The owner has had this dog a couple of years, he is a rescue and very timid. Dog Warden currently out looking with owner. Will try to get a photo on site later
