Thanks everybody, though Petal isn't so little now! We almost didn't recognise her at the Police Station! She's clearly been looked after perhaps a little too well but glad she's home safe and sound and thanks again to everybody involved with trying to find Petal for us :o)

FANTASTIC NEWS - PETAL IS HOME!!!! Just had one very happy owner call to say this morning she got a call from the Police and they had recovered Petal. They are so pleased to have her home, and thankfully she gets on with the new addition to the family, a little boy Chi! The Police have been a great help to Petal's owner, after a little encouragement ;) and its just so great to hear this news. Owner passes on her thanks to all at DogLost.

Listed Petal on our stolen dog poster for the Ilkley (West Yorkshire) carnival, hope she is found safe and well soon. Our Chihuahua (Roxy) was stolen and still no sign of her, best wishes from us.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Police followed up the sighting and couldn't find any Police stations in the area where a man fitting this description with two dogs had been arrested the previous evening so back to square one :o(Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As a result of the article in the Epping Forest Guardian, a possible sighting of Petal last night led a fox warden to phone the Police and come looking for me today. Apparently she was approached by what looked like a male vagrant around the Old Ford Road London E2 area by Victoria Park, the man had a dirty looking Jack Russell and a Chihuahua who the lady thought looked much like Petal but as she didn't see the newspaper article until today she didn't link the two together though she did think it odd that a vagrant looking man would have a Chihuahua. She said that he had an Irish sounding accent. May be from a gypsy site?? He told her that he was making his way to Romford. The lady has made a statement to the Police and they are investigating. Fingers crossed :o) Will add any update to this when I hear any more. Otherwise anybody in the London E2 or Romford area please let me know if you see anybody of this description. He also had a shopping trolley. He also mentioned that he had just come from Caledonian Road.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

In email contact with owner and as Ashmark said, still no news on little Petal. No calls at all, despite posters, flyers etc. We are keeping an eye out on all the usual websites incase she is sold on. Also, the local paper came out to take details of the story, photos etc and so she'll appear in there on Thursday, will bump her up to the top of the listings again when she is. xLast edited: 2010-05-07 21:14:40 by Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex

Hi - I am Petal's owner and confirm that she was stolen from my home in Loughton on Monday afternoon. Thank you for your help, I am desperate to get her back, she was an 8th birthday present for my daughter, we have only had her for about 6 weeks, my daughter is distraught. I believe we were specifically targeted for Petal to be stolen and I think she may still be in the area. Thank you so much.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
