Woman on Facebook mentions yesterday a chocolate lab found in heckington Lincolnshire and is at greenacres care home in heckington. I have no idea if this info is reliable or even up to date but could be worth looking into?

Have alerted owners to the chocolate lab on our found pages today.

Male chocolate labrador in Carlton Forest kennels.  I haven't got a picture of him but the owner of the kennels has advised to call to discuss him and see if it might be Hector.  01909 731792.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunately the dog with E-Lindsey DW was not Hector. Owner is convinced Hector has been stolen. Have advised he sends posters out to as many local authorities as possible just in case Hector ends up as a stray in another area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I?m sorry to hear HECTOR is missing.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them.
email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already.
You can only print posters when you are signed in.
Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. make sure you offer a reward on the posters.
POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog.
Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you.
Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? infact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly.
Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found and make sure you offer a reward!.
If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle.
keep going back to the place where your dog was last seen and leave something with their scent on it there. Cross posted to www.labradorforums.co.uk http://www.labradorforums.co.uk/ftopicp-1140478.html#1140478   Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owner regarding Hector's disappearance. All three dogs got out when the gate was accidentally left open. Owner was out after them almost immediately. Two of the dogs were still in the driveway, but there was no sign of Hector, and there has been no sign of him since then. Owner mentioned that two black Labradors from the next village have also gone missing. Have requested photo of Hector, and emailed general advice. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
