Buds owner has just called me back. She put up the posters I sent and within a few hours the calls started to come in. He had been spotted in  a village but when people tried to catch him he just bolted. Owner went out looking after each call but on each ocassion Bud was nowhere to be seen. At mid day today he was seen and caught. He is now home but has very sore legs. Vets appointment has been made.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

this village looks quite rural dont forget farm buildings etc just in case hes taken refuge somewhere like that, hes probably  scared and could be hiding in bushes etc, spread the word by postering in nearby villages somene may have picked him up and taken him in,do his old owners live nearby? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just received text from owner. No photo is available. I only bought him today and he escaped out of the car 5 miles from home. Have asked if they can get photo from previous owner and wonder if he could be trying to make his way back to his original home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Was the car parked at home at the time, or in an area that is unfamiliar to the dog?  Did the dog leave the car whilst it was moving (ie in traffic) or was car parked up somewhere?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have crossposted the link to several email groups I am on .. hopefully that will mean more people on the look out - I have all fingers crossed that he is found safe and well very soon indeed.   Stay safe.   I have also posted details on our Valgrays Border Collie Rescue website : http://valgraysbcrescue.webs.com/lostfoundcollies.htm A photo would be most useful please.
