So happy you got him back - i know how awful it is to lose your dog. Hope the sightings helped. Shows how people power works - even when the local authority and police can't really be bothered. Power to the people LOL xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Brilliant news - just came home to an email from K9 Search Uk to say that owners stopped their car when they saw him, opened the door, and he jumped straight in. Clever boy Barney, and well done soapyk8 for letting us know about the sighting. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner has just called to say they found Barney half and hour ago. He has sore feet and will be going to the vets for a check up but he's fine and was very happy to see his owners again. Welcome home Barney!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have seen a very similar dog to this, still wearing collar on Queensway near Brandhall golf course yesterday (Wednesday) morning. I have seen the same dog this morning on Brandhall Road (the opposite side of the Wolverhampton Road A4123) this morning. The dog was heading down Brandhall Road back towards the A4123. I have reported this dog this morning to Sandwell Council who refused to report this to the dog warden (I argued this point as the Local Authority have full responsibility for stray animals but to no avail). I have also reported both sightings to West Midlands Police. The PCSOs in the area have been asked to look out for this dog. I hope this helps and you find your dog soon. I know it is heartbreaking but we discovered this site a couple of years ago when our own dog went missing. She was away from us for 7 days when we were finally reunited with her. Try calling Radio WM as they will put out an appeal for you - this is what worked for us in the end and a wonderful truck driver found her for us. x x x I will keep an eye out in the same area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am not that far from the area so if he is spotted again can help with looking for him (if I am not at work/college). Would be good to find where he went missing from and which park so I can see which direction he is heading in.  Andrea x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have crossposted the link to several email groups I am on .. hopefully that will mean more people on the look out - I have all fingers crossed that Barney is found safe and well very soon indeed.   Stay safe.   I have also posted details on our Valgrays Border Collie Rescue website (scroll down page for lost/found collies): http://valgraysbcrescue.webs.com/hotnews.htm Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Update from Jazzi on dogpages   Have been in contact with owner today, have advised how to change details on chip without the need of the chip number. So hopefully the details should now be upto date.
The tag on the collar is a valid number but the owner had left this phone at home in Somerset, a friend has now retrieved this phone from the house so it will be answered.
He is wearing a blue collar with gold studs.
Also received unconfirmed sighting of similar dog running in Bearwood area, owners aware and have been to the area and placed posters.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This boy went missing whilst owners were visiting the area. Owners are frantic. Please anyone in the area look out for him. When I have more details about him' I'll update.   The owners are still in the area looking for him.   Alex (Admin TWF)    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
