There is a german shepherd up for re homing on the Manchester Dogs Home web site. Says he is 4 years old but suggests the dog was found so the age will only be a guess. May be worth having a look on site there is a good clear photo.

Text sent for update, there was a sighting on Springwood rd but by the time owner got there he was nowhere to be seen. Photo requested again.

there's always lot's of GSD's in the stray kennels in doncaster. Mount pleasant in hampole. might be worth a visit if you havn't been already.

The dog sighted in Beighton was not Max. It was found to be a female and has been reunited with its owners. Pam

Owner said last night the family member who was going to email the photo was having problems sending one so owner would email it, nothing received up to now.  I have sent a text tonight but had no reply.  Could someone in the NE try and contact owner and also alert them to the sighted dog?  Jan x

23.00 p.m.  Photo still not received, various size posters are ready.  Info/Advice was emailed this afternoon.  I've passed the message on earlier about contacting the Police for out of hours DW.  Owner has replied and passed on their thanks.  Hope we get good news soon and he is back home with his family soon.  Good luck.  Jan x

Hope we can get a photo of him soon. I know what its like as my GSD has just been spooked by fireworks and scaled my 6 ft gates to get away. Foruntately I was able to find her.  Hope we can get this boy home safely soon. Barbara xxx

Spoken to owner and updated the phone numbers (land line number was incorrect) and added circumstances. He was spooked by fireworks and ran off when a relative opened the door.  Max is not used to going out around the area and is normally taken by car.  His family have contacted Vets and kennels in the area but have been unable to contact the DW until Monday.  They are going to try and send a photo a.s.a.p.  I'll email further advice/info and various size posters once a photo has been received.  Jan x
