Spoke to owner last week sadly Sky is still missing. Owner has been putting adverts in local papers each week but is now going to cut it down to each month.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Met the owner of The Pooch Mobile dog wash at the Bullies-In-Need show and he has kindly offered to display Sky's poster on his vans which travel all over Lincolnshire.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I visited Daphne Adams last week on my way to Lincs and saw a photo of Sky and a letter head from Thorganby- I grew up in your neck of the woods and am also a lab owner who has also lost their dog- Simon in Bristol, so you have full sympathy from all of us and we really hope you find her soon.
Happy to chat if you want to- going thru the same as you, but in the city.  Know people in Lincs and can spread the word if you like.

Try TJC kennels at Wisbech - the Council notified us that a cream female lab was found on our boundary on Friday. Sorry no other details and she should have been scanned.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I would poster both areas heavily and leave items of clothing with scent and food at both places to see if can get more sightings coming in. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner has just called to say that there have been a couple of sightings this week of a dog fitting Skys description. One sighting was at Scartho Top and the other at South Killingholme. Owner and members of her family have been to both places but not had any luck finding her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo received and uploaded. What a lovely girl. I hope she has not been stolen, and will be found soon. Dont forget to poster the pubs, pub car parks, garages, boot sales etc. Will do flyers this evening. Good Luck and keep at it. Owners sound like they are doing a brilliant job. Well done to them. Owner has just called. Sky is almost white so I have changed details. She also told me that the hair just in front of the left hind leg forms what looks like a double crown or cowslick.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just had a long conversation with a gentleman who is helping this elderly couple to search for Sky. Sky went missing along with another lab from the house they were visiting which is about 2 miles from home. The other dog was found the following day but Sky hasn't been seen since. Posters have been put up all around the area and surrounding villages, local radio stations have beeen contacted and the authorities have been notified. A picture of Sky is being sent to me by post as the owners do not have internet access. Have spoken at length about scenting the area just in case she is holed up somewhere as this area is very rural. Have given them my home number.  The email address we have is their son's but he is away at the moment. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I?m sorry to hear sky is missing. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them. Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog. if your dog is tattooed or microchipped, then of course state so in your posters, but remember to phone the tattoo and microchip people... get them to look up your details and confirm they have the best and most current contact numbers for you. And a backup if possible. Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, garden centre?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you. Tell postman and take flyers to local sorting office for all postmen to carry while on rounds, binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? look up and call all local dog walkers and email them a poster if possible. in fact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly. Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found. If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle, also check the area that your dog was taken from?..are there cctv camera?s that could have captured whoever took your dog?. Cross posted to www.Labradorforums.co.uk www.Labradorks.co.uk Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
