We found her!!!!!

The best moment ever- she sneaky snaked up to me whilst Ben watched her with the thermal binoculars, as I spoke pleasantries to the air and threw biscuits over her way. Then when she was 30cm from me suddenly a switch was flipped and I got leapt on and whined at and we haven’t stopped cuddling since.

Thank you THANK YOU all of you for your phemomenal help and love. Tonight my heart is huge and full of the love of our amazing community.

Update from Nellie’s owner…

Hi everyone, first of all want to say I am so moved by how many people are helping us out. Thank you so very much. Please gather more troops and keep it up, I feel so much promise when there’s continued sightings like this morning. Come home Nellie.

This evening has been very quiet with news. We’ve continued searching until dark, laid scent trails all around home and are going to head out with thermal imaging to see if we can spot her.

PLAN OF ACTION:

The big effort will be tomorrow morning. Can as many people as possible meet me at the Southrepps village sign at 7.00am tomorrow? We will make a game plan and then hopefully will be able to find her and I can then calm her down enough to come to me.

IMPORTANT FOR ALL SEARCHERS:

Please just use your eyes- no shouting or calling ‘Nellie’. She’ll be more confused and scared.

When you spot her: STAND STILL and secretly watch! Call me and I will do the interacting. She’s gone into flight mode and bolts with anything. Photo if you can without scaring her.

Definitely DO NOT CHASE. If you have any food, throw it underarm from a distance just to keep her amused, DO NOT APPROACH.
