Just an up-date to say sadly there?s been no more news of our Pickles. Because of the lack of any news we believe she was most probably picked up on one of the major roads near here and is now probably living miles away from us -  with her new family. We did a door drop in the village of Tinwell where Tinker (Pickles? sister) had been found some 30 hours after they ran off together.  That?s right on the A1 northbound side.  All local post offices, pubs, local radio stations, dog wardens, kennels and vets all had flyers.  Sadly to no avail. We obviously advertised extensively locally, namely in the East Midlands Advertiser and Nottingham Evening Post and Rutland Mercury ? the sister paper to our own local paper the Stamford Mercury.  This of course was in addition to the Countryman?s Weekly which we discussed before.  All we had from this was a few crank phone calls. The local National Farmer?s Union Branch is also in the picture. We now, I afraid, just sit on hands and hope for the obvious miracle. If you decide to put her again in the Countryman?s Weekly please will you let me know when so I can get a copy.  Thank you.As before thank you for your help.    Regards    Rob So sorry there has still been no news Rob, but I will definitely put her forward for Countrymans again, and we will let you know, but it will be at least two weeks before it goes in. She wouldnt have to cross the A1 to get to Tinwell village from Stamford meadows, just follow the river along to Tinwell. No road until actually in Tinwell village. Im suprised no-one saw her as there are loads of dog walkers and riders there daily. Have owners ever put an appeal in Stamford Mercury, that usually get people talking.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly Pickle still remains missing. Owners are still actively searching and continue to poster and flyer the area, and further away. It still is not that many weeks, and not too late for that all important call. Very distinctive and pretty girl, and she is also microchipped, so hoping she will be home very soon. Stay safe Pickle, until you are found xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There has been no news of Pickle, sadly, so far. Owners have been, and still are, very active in the area, and I have given more advice. It still is early days, so am hopeing if someone has her, they will see a poster and do the right thing. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can you get something in Peterborough Evening Telegraph? If you say you are worried about the harness getting caught it might get them to use it as a story.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Pickle is missing from Stamford Meadows area. She would not be able to find her way home from here, as taken by car. The other dog she ran off with was found at Tinwell village, which means that somehow the A1 was crossed. Pickle is wearing a harness, so could get caught up, but thankfully has collar, tag and microchip. Family are postering and spreading the word. Difficulty here is the area is on the boundaries of four councils, so many authorities to be notified. Will send contact numbers via email. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
