Sadly Cesars owners are no longer looking for him, due to having a young family and the fact that his temperament could not be guaranteed even if he was foundLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

blackjack, can you please confirm where in Croydon Cesar went missing from? Also could you update us on where you have postered so far and if you have covered any of the places I've mentioned in my previous post. As we say time and time again on this site, postering is key in finding so many of our lost dogs and you really need to aim to put up at least 100 plus posters and that's just for starters (200 or more is preferable). If you are limited by the costs of colour copying, you can print Cesar's posters in black & white but use brightly coloured paper (I found that bright orange worked very well). Another good place to target are supermarket car parks by placing mini-flyers on car windscreens. That way you covered alot of cars in a relatively small area. Decent weather this weekend will mean plenty of people are out and about and so make sure that just about everyone knows that Cesar is still missing!

the picture i have uploaded is one that is very similar looking to cesar, he does also have one tipped ear which i was told would more than likely stay like it (lazy ear or something), this is not a picture of him but is very very much a look-a-like.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The details that we have so far have been distributed to Akita welfare and to Akita owners in the South East, by the owners who supplied us with a similar pup picture Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

LisaP thanks for posting.  Cesar run out the front door after a fox. His owner had to go back indoors to collect her young daughter and by the time she had locked the door and went to look for him, Cesar was nowhere to be seen. We would appreciate as much help as possible in helping get this young lad home. I'm not sure what part of Croydon he went missing from. Does anyone know? I also don't know whether Cesar's family has access to a computer but, if not, hopefully someone could post updates on their behalf.

Cesar ran out of the front door after a fox & there has been no sightings of him since. It could be that someone has taken this puppy in & not reported him as found. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm so sorry to hear that Cesar is missing. The key to finding Cesar is to poster like mad and, believe us, you really can't put up too many posters! Place the posters in those plastic 'punched pockets' (normally very cheap from supermarkets) and put them up with the opening at the bottom. If you have a problem with kids ripping them down just persevere and use more drawing pins to secure them. I find you need at least 6 stout pins to secure them properly (I sometimes take a little hammer out with me). If they get ripped down, replace them with others as it may mean that someone nearby might have him and the posters and publicity will make it difficult for anyone to keep him. Just make Cesar the hottest boy in town. Have you contacted the dog wardens as I know you have two very dedicated ones in the Croydon area? Pubs are also a very good place to target as many dogs are sold on this way. Pop in at lunchtime or early evening when they tend to be less busy and ask the Manager to display a poster of Cesar. Speak to as many of the customers as possible as the regulars will have plenty of local knowledge and will be a mine of information. Make sure you visit your local sorting office and hand out mini-flyers to postman, milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, etc. Also speak to your Safer Neighbourhoods Police Team and the local mini cab offices are an absolute must! I hope it won't be long until Cesar is back home with you.
