I spoke to Scott later today --They are overjoyed that Lucky is back home.  Its still not known how the people got hold of Lucky initially to then try and sell her  It could be she was spotted near the area and just picked up by these "people". Scott said she would just jump into a car,  But, unfortunately she ended up in the wrong hands and the lads were touting her for sale. The person who bought her saw an ad that Scott had placed and rang them  ---- and all credit to them they did the honourable thing and gave Lucky back. They had bought her, but didnt ask for any money. SoTHANK YOU to them for returning Lucky to her owners as they were all missing each other. I'm sure she will be enjoying being back home.!!
Welcome Home Lucky  !!!!!!! xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If it is Lucky and I sincerely hope it is then the person who "bought" her is in possession of stolen goods. Make it a police matter. A legitimate purchase should be accompanied by relevant PAPERS. Try to take others with you, safety in numbers.  Good luck...judy

Owner is is great Lucky is chipped and that the microchip company has been contacted but you need to register her yourself with both the Leeds and Bradford Dog Wardens as Lucky could wander between areas and depends on which one picks her up or is notified of her . Please make sure you check the stray kennels even on a daily basis if possible as new ones keep coming in. Strays from Bradford can be taken to Springfield Kennels Ossett 01924 271028 ( www.lostdogs.yorkshire.com) Marina Kennels, Huddersfield 01484 426407 Fleet Kennels at Queensbury. 01274 880408 Also check Mount Pleasant kennels, at Hampole Doncaster Tel No 01302 722748 Please try to visit each one in person to ensure your pet is not there !!! . Get as many posters out in the area as possible and put posters into the vets . Another place to contact is the PDSA hospital Wakefield Road, Bradford as they also get calls from people who have found dogs and are unsure who to contact Binmen, postmen and anyone who is out and about in the local area regularly are good ones to give posters too.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've just sent the poster to my cousin who lives in Armley asking her boys to keep  an eye out and tell their mates also.  Hopefully Lucky will be home soon. Whereabouts in Armley was Lucky from please?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just a word of warning that in putting up posters its important not to use local authority posts as they will probably take them down. BT isn't as bad but also if they are placed too near to each other they may cause complaint. Better to place them in prominant areas where they are very visible and get the most effect from the public. (not at road junctions however) Shops are often good at taking them and also giving flyers to postmen/women as they cover a wide area. Good luck  RachelLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi sorry to see your lovely girl is missing put posters up everywhere.... completely saturate the area and make sure you offer a reward. tell the postman binmen as they are out an dabout all the time. tell everyone you meet as they may hav eseen her.... dog warden,vets..and local holding kennels (check with them every day as they only have to keep her for 7 days) put posters up at schools supermarkets train stations bus stops anywhere people congregate.  get an advert in the local paper lost and found pets section with photo and offer reward. don't give up you'll get her home...xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Scott, sorry to see Lucky is missing.  Thanks for registering her details on DL, can you send upload photo/s a.s.a.p. or email to admin@doglost.co.uk (QUOTE ID 16801) any problems with a photo let us know.  We will do all we can to help you in your search.   You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great she is CHIPPED ensure you contact the Chip Co to report her missing and check your details are up to date. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
