FANTASTIC news ! This lovely boy is home again ! He was found wandering very late last night quite near to his home and was taken in by a kind man from the local pub and  Ronnie spent the night in the warm in the pub whilst his owner were out searching for him ! The finder did try to phone the chipping company on his tag but had problems using their answer machine system. Welcome home Ronnie and stay safe from now on xxx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

poster poster poster........... and don't stop till you get him home. i cannot emphasize the importance of postering enough. the more people see the posters the better chance you have of getting him home. poster train stations supermarket and retail park car parks... pet shops kennels lay bys and snack vans contact your local newspaper and get an ad in the pets section lost and found...offer a reward on your posters and advert.keep at it like it's day one 24 7 and he'll be home.when you get a sighting go there and cover the place in posters.... thinking of you and wishing you all the luck in the world getting your lovely dog homeLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so sorry to see Ronnie is missing. You need to poster as much as you can to raise all the public awareness  possible. Inform dog wardens, vets and stray  local stray kennels. By law stray kennels only have to keep a dog for 7days and for this reason you need to KEEP checking with them and if possible go there in person to make sure he is  not there  and leave a poster with them. Even though he is microchipped you cannot rely on them to contact you and sometimes the chip does get missed. You need to  inform the chipping company that Ronnie is missing and also check that your contact details are up to date. Go back to the area he went missing from and leave something with your scent on. if you do this you do need to keep returning there. Also leave posters nearby and inform any dog walkers you see and ask them to keep a lookout for Ronnie. If you receive any sightings or news of Ronnie please let us know or log in and post on his page yourself. I hope he is home again very soon xx Pam  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hearbroken, sorry to see Ronnie is missing.  Thanks for registering his details on DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.   You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great he is Chipped, you need to contact the Chip Co and report him missing and check your details are up to date.   Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Heartbroken, Collie Cross might not be the best description for Ronnie. He looks like a Lurcher.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
