FANTASTIC news !!! Joe I am so delighted for you and of course Snoopy ! Try and get him a chip now and lets hope his wanderlust can be curbed ! Having seen you mention a van marked as coming from Morley it has triggered off a memory for me of a Staffy also believed to have been stolen by men using a van with Morley on its side some time ago ! welcome home Snoopy and stay safe from now on xxx Thankyou Jan for alerting me xxx PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, my dog snoopy is home from his adventure in morley! he was handed in at a police station by 2 young lads who claim they took him in, but didnt get on with there pitbull.
my therory is the builders who were workin on the church next door to where the dog was on heat had taken snoopy home. we noticed that the builders van was marked up morley and my partner had a word with their boss who said he would have snoop returned if he found out his workers had taken him home. later this evening we had a phone call to say he had been handed in. to me its only obvious it was 1 of the builders.
i am so glad we didnt give up on him. 9 days of worry and missing him, we r all thrilled. thank u all very much 4 ur help!! we hope to make a donation soon!

It must be so frustrating for you Joe not knowing wether to search localy or in Morley for Snoopy, if he has been spotted so close too where you live would he not have found his way home by now? My friend who lives in Wyke is watching out for him.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

i have been on the street next to mine, its like a snicket between my house and storr hill. more people say they have seen snoopy during the week and 1 man even fed him sausages and say it was definately him, but most people that way say they havent seen him for a couple of days. we arent sure whether people geniunely have seen him, or maybe they are mixing there days up. they say its a definate!! we are thinking some 1 may have seen him camped out where these dogs are in season and took him home. there is a possibility he could be in the markfield area as there has been a sighting down there! but still there is the tag found it morley, and we arent sure what to think about that.

Joe, thanks for the update, you are doing all the right things.  Getting the posters out as far as possible will get his picture seen and you may get the call you are waiting for and we see him in the BLUE soon.  If you need anything changing on the posters let us know.  Good luck.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

we had a phone call this evening from a young man in morley that says he saw a dog just like snoopy been walked by an old man in morley town centre. the young lad said he would ask the man about the dog and call us back. unfortunately he hasnt called so we arent sure if it was snoopy or not! my partner imeadiately drove to morley but there was no sign.
today we have put our home made posters up in wyke and have also given a poster to fleetlane kennels after visiting to put our mind at ease.
this weekend we intend to visit marina and oakenshaw even though we have been calling all week, again to put our mind at ease.
we have printed off 100 posters of snoop and intend to post these off to as many pdsa s and vets as we can!
my parents also work at royal mail in bradford so we intend to circulate some about with all postman, and also send some to leeds depot for the notice board.
my partner travels to morley morning and every evening to search for snoopy, and gave a poster to the postman in that area. an add has been placed in the evening post and the yeller.
i would like to offer my assistance if ever a dog is lost in bradford especially bd12 area, and my parents too would like to offer any help they can with them working at royal mail in bradford. thanks for all your help so far!!!! xx lisa

I hope snoopy is home very soon,i spoke with the owners earlier today, although they have already visited the local traveller sites in morley i would still keep a look out.  For this dogs tag to of got from bradford to morley it certainly seems that someone has picked it up.  Check around all the local morley dog rescues and surrounding areas.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have e mailed Snoopy's poster to my friend who lives in Wyke also to some local dog walkers who will pass the word around, you need to get a poster up at the entrance to Judy Woods as lots of people walk there, fingers crossed he is home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There are several kennels that take strays:
Marina Kennels in Huddersfield: 01484 426407
Fleet Kennels: 01274 880408
Abbey House Vets (take in injured strays): 01274 876686
www.lostdogsyorkshire.com has photos of strays found in Leeds and surrounding areas.
Important to send them a poster and check with them very regularly as legally only required to keep strays for 7 days.
Contact the dog warden for Bradford and Leeds, and any other areas near Morley, and send them a poster.
Need to poster in the area he is lost and where the collar was found. Try and speak to as many people as possible in these areas and get the word out as much as possible that he is missing.
Dogs seem to get home a lot of the time due to posters so is really important to poster, including binmen, postmen, taxi offices, takeaways etc. The more that are out there, the better.
