I have just spoken to Sharmar's family for an update. The owner's daughter drove around the nearby lanes yesterday and spotted Sharmar's in a field sniffing, mooching around and generally enjoying himself, blissfully unaware of his family's concerns about his whereabouts. She called him, he lifted his head and came trotting over to her. He had obviously found himself somewhere reasonably cosy to sleep the previous night but I suspect, knowing Rotties as I do, he was ready for a hearty breakfast! Welcome home Sharmar!

I spoke to owner's daughter this morning. Sharmar is an outdoor dog and lives on a non-working farm. He disappeared around 8am yesterday morning after being let out of his sleeping quarters. He's never gone off on his own before. They have alerted the neighbouring farm. I have given her the number for Bromley Council's contracted-out DW service and so daughter will ring them today, as well as the Council's street cleansing service (just in case). I have also advised daughter to call the DW of the neighbouring Sevenoaks' Council. Sharmar's owner has contacted Battersea. I requested a photo of Sharmar which will allow us to produce, the oh so important, missing posters. Hope it won't be long until this Rottie boy is home.

I'm so sorry to hear that Sharmar is missing. I have left a message on your answerphone for you to call me. But in the meantime, could we have a photo of Sharmar and let us know in what circumstances he went missing i.e. from a walk or did he escape from home. The key to finding Sharmar is to poster like mad and make him the best known and hottest boy in town. You need to start off with putting up at least 100+ posters (places in plastic pockets, with the opening at the bottom). Here are some places to target: parks, vets, rescues, dog wardens, police (including your Safer Neighbourhood Police Team), mini cab offices & drivers, pubs, schools, supermarkets & supermarket car parks, car windows, boot fairs, petrol stations, sorting offices & posties, milkmen, missing ad in the News Shopper (their deadline is Monday morning), takeaways, etc. Good luck and I hope it won't be long until your Rottie boy is back home with you and enjoying his home comforts!
