Fabulous news. Glad to have been of help.  I wish other councils would have the same facilitiy on their web sites.
I knew it was too much of a coincidence - North Elmham is a 'blink and you'll miss it' one horse town!

Have now been in contact with owner, and can confirm that it was Spot on the council website, and he was reunited with a very grateful owner last night. So very well done Lankeela for noticing that. Spot has now been fitted with a new disc and collar and the micorchip number is going to be re-registered in owners name. It was previously registered to another family member. Dave said the phone reception is terribly bad, and almost unusable in the area which is why he tends to turn it off. Not a good idea when you have a lost dog though. Welcome home Spot. You stay safe now little fella  xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Yasa. I too have left messages but no reply I'm afraid. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Called number but phone switched off. Have left message with both numbers for the dog warden left on phone and requested owner call the dog warden immediately to check this out. Finger, toes and paws crossed, and hope owner will let us know one way or the other.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Mmmmm! So I see !  Thanks lankeela ! Not sure about Jack Russell small build, but could be, I suppose. Its different people's views, but I reckon there's a good chance. The found dog looks no spring chicken either so lets hope this is our boy. Thanks again lankeela. We'll get it checked out. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Meant to say it was found at North Elmham - too much of a coincidence?

Breckland Stray Dogs page has a white and black dog found, but it does look bigger than a Jack Russell.

Sorry, I meant a couple of days, not weekend. LOL Must have my days mixed up, or maybe thinking of a weekend as the guy has gone away for a couple of days. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Not good then, especially with an elderly dog. Bad enough that Spot could sit in the kennel all weekend. Someone defo needs to contact all the authorities pronto. Some vets are still open tonight, and will be open tomorrow. they may also be able to contact rescues tomorrow. we need a landline number and email addie for owner and can then send info through, but they need to get onto this. No he hasn't but I have advised him to do so and told him that Spot could be rehomed if he doesn't act quickly. Apparently Spot is microchipped but to an old address and all info about the chip has been left with his ex. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Has owner contacted dog wardens, rescue centres and vets ? if the guy has gone away for a few days its unlikely he has Spot with him !! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to owner. He told me that a man saw a couple of lads kicking Spot and he intervened and took the dog off them. The owner has a telephone number for this man but he is not answering, thinks he's gone away for a couple of days. He is confident that he will have Spot back home within the week. I will ring back for an update in a few days time.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
